Now, the above-mentioned fused wire has a female terminal at the end, and as shown in Figure 5, the female terminal in this type of application has a wire attachment part (core wire caulking part 2' and grip part 8') that is used for electrical distribution. Since the connector fitting part 11 of the box is exposed to the outside, an insulating tube 3' is attached to this part to protect the wire attachment part. In FIG. 5, numeral 5 indicates a fused wire, 6 its core wire, 7' a female fitting portion, and 12 a male terminal of a bus bar.

The structure of the female wire terminal according to the present invention is formed by punching and bending a single thin metal plate, as shown in FIGS. 2a, b, and c. It is composed of a portion 2 and a wire gripping portion 8. The caulking portion 2 and the wire gripping portion 8 are integrally connected to the front and rear of the female fitting portion 7 via constricted portions 26 and 27, respectively. The female fitting part 7 is formed with a curved side edge, and the caulking part 2 is folded 180 degrees through the constriction part 26 so that it is back to back with the female fitting part 7. In addition, both side edges of the female fitting part 7 are bent to the opposite side and wrapped around the core wire 6 of the electric wire 5 and crimped. It is formed by bending the mold fitting part 7 to the side opposite to both side edges and holding the covering of the electric wire 5 in its embrace.

Figures 3a, b, and c show the state of the female wire terminal of the present invention before it is attached to the wire 5. A portion 2 and a wire gripping portion 8 are formed. In this state, the core wire 6 of the electric wire 5 is connected from the front of the female electric wire terminal to the electric wire crimped portion 2.
After that, the wire crimping part 2 is folded back 180 degrees through the constriction part 26 so that it is back to back with the female fitting part 7, and then the wire gripping part 8 is
Both side edges of the female fitting part 7 are bent to the opposite side to both side edges of the female fitting part 7, and the covering of the electric wire 5 located at the part is held in place as shown in FIG.

According to the female electric wire terminal constructed as described above, the length of the female terminal is greatly reduced compared to conventional electric wire terminals, and the electric wire terminal is completely accommodated in the connector fitting portion 11 as shown in FIG. Since there is no need to attach an insulating tube to the caulking part 2, materials and installation costs are reduced, and the length of the female terminal is greatly reduced, making it possible to make the connection part of the wire terminal more compact. Its practical value is great.
