As shown in the figure, a method is used in which a packaged object 2 is held between cushioning materials 1 made of styrofoam or the like and then inserted into an outer box (not shown). However, with this method, when inserting the cushioning material 1 into the outer box, it is necessary to press the cushioning material 1 against the object to be packed from both sides, which is inefficient in the packing operation and wastes unnecessary force on the worker. It was demanding and took a lot of physical strength.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the cushioning material 3 and the exterior plate 4 of the present invention. Figure 3 shows the cushioning material 5 in different embodiments.
It is a perspective view showing the shape of. The cushioning materials 3, 5 are molded bodies made of foamed polystyrene or the like, and the left and right cushioning materials 3, 3, 5, 5 form a set, and are provided with a recess 6 into which the end of the object to be packed 2 fits. A hole 7 that is continuous with the recess 6 is formed approximately in the center. A groove 8 is formed on the opposite side of the surface where the recess 6 is provided so as to sandwich the hole 7 above and below. The exterior plate 4 is fitted into this groove 8. The left and right cushioning materials have approximately the same shape and are plane symmetrical.

The exterior body 4 is made of corrugated cardboard or the like and has a substantially U-shape, and a bent piece 4a that fits into the groove 8 is provided at the end thereof to be bent inward. The shape and size of the upper and lower exterior bodies 4 are the same. Further, in the center of the exterior plate 4, a recess 4b for storing accessories is provided, as will be described later. When packing, the cushioning material 3 is fitted onto the object to be packed 2, and the bent piece 4a of the exterior plate 4 is inserted into the groove 8.
2 from the front in FIG. 2 to obtain the state shown in FIG. 4. In this state, as shown in Figure 4, the outer box 9
Insert into. At this time, the exterior plate 4 prevents the left and right cushioning materials 3 from coming off, and there is no need to press the cushioning materials 3 against the object to be packed 2 as in the conventional example.
Further, the exterior plate 4 also serves as a protective cover for the object to be packed 2. As shown in FIG. 4, the cushioning material 3 can be inserted into the outer box using the hole 7 as a handle. Also, dent 4b
can be used as a storage space for accessories 10 (for example, manuals, connection cables, etc.) as shown in FIG.

The cushioning material 5 shown in FIG. 3 is of another embodiment, and is designed in consideration of convenience when transporting the cushioning material. A protrusion 5a and a hole 5b are diagonally provided at a corner portion of the inside of the cushioning material 5 (the surface where the recess is provided). Left and right cushioning material 5,5
In this case, the respective protrusions and holes are provided so that the protrusions and holes fit into each other in an overlapping state as shown in FIG. Also, on the outside of the cushioning material 5 (the surface where the groove 8 is provided), left and right cushioning materials are attached as shown in FIG.
Holes 5c are provided at positions corresponding to the projections 5a so as to be overlapped as shown in FIG. With such a structure, it is possible to prevent the load from collapsing during transportation.
