させるものである。そして従来のこの種のクイル
フイード形パワーユニツトにおいては、軸頭本体
はラジアル方向について若干の隙間をもつてクイ
ルを支持していたため、工作時に刃物が振動する
という問題があつた。そこで軸頭本体に軸方向の
スリツトを形成し、クイルが先端方向の移動限ま
で移動したときに軸頭本体を締付けて、ラジアル
方向のクリアランスを解消するクイルフイード形
パワーユニツトも提案されていた。しかしこのパ
ワーユニツトでは軸頭本体を締付ける機構が複雑
かつ高価になり、しかも締付時の軸頭本体のひず
みに起因したクイルの偏位によつて加工精度が低
下するという問題があつた。

れるベルト13が巻掛けられている。駆動源はプ
ーリ12を介してプーリ軸11を回転駆動し、プ
ーリ軸11はスプラインスリーブ8を介して主軸
3を回転駆動する。
