By the way, in a display device or a display device using this type of optical fiber, the proximal ends of a large number of optical fibers are converged and placed near a light source, and
At the tip end, an optical fiber is inserted from the back side into a fixing hole provided in the display substrate to illuminate a display or the like. In order to prevent the tip of the optical fiber from slipping out of the fixing hole of the substrate, an adhesive is used or the tip is enlarged and engaged. However, fixing a large number of optical fibers to a display substrate using such a method requires a lot of trouble and effort, and this work is especially difficult when the device becomes large and a large number of optical fibers are used. The problem is that the quantity is enormous and the production cost increases.

The present invention was developed in view of the above circumstances, and is intended to provide a fastener suitable for fixing optical fibers particularly in large-sized display devices and display devices. In other words, the gist of the present invention is that the main body has a hinge mechanism in the center so that it can be folded in two and has stepped edges, and an insertion part is formed in the center of the main body. The optical fiber fixing fastener is characterized in that an insertion passage is formed from the insertion part to the stepped edge, and an engaging part is formed in the insertion passage.

1 to 5 show a first embodiment of the fastener of the present invention, and this embodiment will be described first.
In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a main body, and the main body 1 has a hinge mechanism 2 in the center thereof, so that the main body 1 can be folded in two from the state shown in FIG. 3 to the state shown in FIG. Note that this hinge mechanism 2 has a pair of thin parts 2.
It consists of 1 and 21. 3 is a stepped edge,
When the main body 1 is folded in two, this stepped edge 3 is located on the side opposite to the side where the central hinge mechanism 2 is located, and as shown in FIG.
It is becoming more and more engaged. Reference numeral 4 denotes an insertion portion formed in the center of the main body 1, and in the case of the first embodiment, the inner diameter of the insertion portion 4 is approximately equal to the thickness of the optical fiber A. Note that this insertion portion 4 may be a through hole or a recessed portion. Reference numeral 5 denotes an insertion path formed from the insertion portion 4 to the stepped edge 3, in which the optical fiber A is inserted.
is now inserted. Reference numeral 6 denotes a mating part formed near the stepped edge 3 of the insertion part 5, and in the illustrated example, it is formed of a protrusion 61 on one side and a recess 62 on the other side, and is formed on each of the protrusions 61 and the recess 62 on the other side. The optical fibers A are engaged from the outside by the recesses a and b forming the recesses a and b. 7 is a hinge mechanism 2 and a stepped edge 3
A pair of engaging pieces formed between the body 1 and the body 1, with only one side being connected to the main body 1, so that elasticity can be exhibited.

To explain how to fix the optical fiber A using this fastener, first insert the optical fiber A into the insertion part 4 as shown in FIG.
Fold it in half and fit it into the fixing hole provided in the board B. In this state, the optical fiber A is inserted into the insertion part 4 near the tip, and the engaging part 6 is behind the optical fiber A.
Because they are interlocked, they are fixed with good stability. The fastener is fitted into a fixing hole provided in the substrate B, and is prevented from falling off by the stepped edge 3 and the engaging piece 7. Therefore, when fixing the optical fiber A to the substrate B using the fastener of the present invention, the tip of the optical fiber A is inserted into the insertion part 4 of the fastener and folded in two, and then the optical fiber A is attached to the substrate B provided in advance. Since it is only necessary to fit the fixing hole into the fixing hole, the operation is extremely simple and extremely efficient.

Note that the engagement piece 7 can be provided to prevent falling off from the substrate B, but such falling-off preventing means may have other shapes or may be omitted. In addition, in these first embodiments,
As shown in FIG. 5, the optical fiber A is fixed at a slight inclination with a slight difference in the relative positions of the insertion part 4 and the engaging part 6, but of course the relative positions of the two should be made to match. It may also be fixed in a horizontal position.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be explained based on FIGS. 6 and 7. In this second embodiment, when the optical fiber A is inserted, the tip is covered with a translucent cap. It is something. That is, the basic structure of this second embodiment is the same as that of the first embodiment, but the inner diameter of the insertion part 4 in the center is made larger than the diameter of the optical fiber A, and a transparent cap 8 is attached to the tip of the optical fiber A. It is designed to be inserted and fixed while covered. The fixing method is almost the same as in the first embodiment, but in the second embodiment, the tip of the optical fiber A is protected by a translucent cap 8. In addition,
This translucent cap 8 is made of acrylic resin, glass, etc., and if it is given a light diffusion function, it can diffuse the light emitted from the optical fiber.

Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the fastener of the present invention can be integrally formed of synthetic resin such as nylon or polyethylene. The cross-sectional shape of the outer shape may be circular or square in accordance with the fixing hole drilled in the substrate B. In the above embodiment, an example is shown in which a circular fixing hole is used, but as shown in FIG. 2, protrusions 11 may be provided at the four corners to prevent rotation when fitted to the substrate B.
