Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the reproduction at an FM signal level with a single VTR by increasing the diameter of a rotary drum and switching the record and reproduction among plural heads in order to perform both the record and reproduction at a time. CONSTITUTION:The signals recorded on the 1st magnetic tape 10 are reproduced by the R and L azimuth heads 13a and 14a respectively. This head output is equal to the reproduction head detecting signals 20 and sent to an FM signal processing circuit 19. Then the recording and reproducing signals are sorted by the circuit 19 and the recording FM signal 21 is delivered. The signal 21 is recorded on the 2nd magnetic tape 11 by the R and L azimuth heads 13b and 14b respectively.
