[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention detects and notifies changes in energization and interruption of the circuit by intervening in an AC circuit that mainly carries a large current and has large current changes. It is much more compact and inexpensive than an alternator CT that uses electromagnetic induction, which consists of a primary coil and a secondary coil wound around the top, and an ammeter connected to the secondary coil. It is an object of the present invention to provide a relay device with a current detection and notification element that can limit the amount of current shunted to an alarm device within a certain range and avoid failure of the alarm device due to overcurrent.

Fig. 1 shows a schematic configuration of a current detection and notification element E. This element E uses a lamp (filament lamp) as an alarm W and two diodes D of the same specifications. 1 and D 2 are connected in parallel with each other with both diodes D 1 and D 2 having opposite polarities, and the whole of these three diodes W, D 1 and D 2 is connected to the alarm W, which is a lamp. It is made into a unit by surrounding it with a suitable bonding material 2 such as synthetic resin with the lighting part exposed to the outside and the lead wires 1, 1 led out.

The element E can be installed in a relay device (or device), such as an outlet, a table tap, or a switchboard, which is mainly interposed in the middle of an AC circuit from a power source to a load (various electrical devices). Figure 2 shows an example of this.
The element E is built into a relay device 5 such as an outlet, a table tap, a switchboard, etc., to which the load 4 is relay-connected. In this case, power is supplied by turning on the switch SW on the load 4 side, and the lamp serving as the alarm W lights up. That is, the energization state can be known by visually checking whether the lamp is lit. This also points out that the switch has been forgotten to turn off.

The lamp as the alarm W lights up because a current flows through this lamp based on the voltage drop caused by the internal resistance of the diode D 1 or D 2 . Therefore, substantially continuous lighting is performed regardless of changes in the polarity of the alternating current flowing through the main circuit. The internal resistance of diodes D 1 and D 2 , that is, the voltage drop, increases as the current flowing through the main circuit increases, but only up to a certain limit; once the current exceeds a certain value, the internal resistance no longer increases. , or become small, and the amount of current flowing through the lamp converges to a constant value, so that it is possible to avoid overcurrent flowing through the lamp and causing it to malfunction. FIG. 3 shows the relationship between the amount of current I flowing through the main circuit and the amount of current I' flowing through the alarm W, which is a lamp.

In addition to the lamp, the alarm W uses a buzzer, an ultra-small electronic buzzer, which is connected in parallel with two diodes D 1 and D 2 to form an integral unit surrounded by the bonding material 2. It's okay to do that.

Further, in both the lamp and the buzzer, the alarm W and the diodes D 1 and D 2 may be housed in a small casing to form a unit without using the joining material 2.

Although the embodiments have been described above, the gist of the configuration of the relay device with current detection and notification element of the present invention is that two diodes and an alarm are connected in parallel with the diodes having opposite polarity, and And the alarm is integrated into a unit and incorporated into a relay device such as an outlet or a table tap.

According to this configuration, the following effects can be obtained. In other words, although it can be constructed much more compactly and at a lower cost than conventional current transformers, it does not reduce the voltage drop caused by the internal resistance of the diode.
In addition, by effectively utilizing the convergence effect related to internal resistance increase, it is possible to supply an appropriate current to the alarm to activate it, and it is also possible to avoid failures due to overcurrent.
With this element, it has become possible to detect and notify changes in energization and interruption of the main circuit as expected. Moreover, by using the electrical outlet (relay device) of the present invention as an outlet (relay device) installed in a desk lamp or refrigerator, for example, it is possible to visually tell whether the outlet is energized or de-energized. Accidents caused by leaving a hard-to-identify appliance, such as a toaster, turned on can be prevented by alerting the user from an alarm installed in the outlet. Therefore, safety and security are improved, and as mentioned above, it is compact and convenient to use.
