ユーブを回転自在に設け、該コラムシヤフトチユ
ーブの内周側に軸方向摺動自在に且つ相対回転不
能にステアリングシヤフトを同軸状に嵌合し、前
記コラムシヤフトチユーブの該ステアリングシヤ
フトが嵌合している側の端部に該コラムシヤフト
チユーブの軸方向に延びるスリツトを形成すると
共に、該スリツトが形成されたコラムシヤフトチ
ユーブの端部にねじ部材を設け、一方向に回転さ
せることにより前記スリツトが形成されたコラム
シヤフトチユーブの端部を径方向に縮めて前記コ
ラムシヤフトチユーブと前記ステアリングシヤフ
トとを一体的にし得るナツト部材を前記ねじ部材
に螺合し、前記ステアリングシヤフトの回転によ
り前記ナツト部材を前記コラムシヤフトチユーブ
に対して相対回転させ得るレバーを前記ステアリ
ングコラムに設けたことを特徴とするテレスコピ
