The present invention was developed in view of the conventional drawbacks and problems, and its purpose is to form a wiring pattern on a key spacer and to
By configuring this pattern so that it can be connected to the wiring pattern on the fixed contact board, wiring density can be increased without having to perform double-sided wiring, making device manufacturing significantly easier and significantly reducing manufacturing costs. The purpose of this invention is to provide a very practical key input device that can perform the following functions.

As shown in FIG. 2, a spacer particularly related to the present invention is formed by following the steps a→b→c. That is, a wiring circuit is formed on the film spacer 1 as shown in FIG. 2b. This is done by printing the conductive paint 2 using a printing method such as screen printing. Next, as shown in Figure c, an insulating paint 3 (a paint whose main component is resin, rubber, etc.) is printed on the portion of the conductive paint 2 to be insulated by a method such as screen printing.
Form an insulating part. Here, in order to keep the thickness of the spacer constant, the entire surface other than the connecting portion may be coated with an insulating paint.

In FIG. 3, reference numeral 4 indicates a hard substrate having a key contact electrode 5 on its surface, and reference numeral 6 indicates a conductive contact rubber (such as silicone rubber) on which a conductive member 7 for switching the key is formed. Reference numeral 5' denotes a contact portion for electrical connection with the exposed portion of the conductive paint 2 of the wiring circuit formed on the film spacer 1.
By making this electrical connection, a jumper effect of the board wiring by the wiring circuit of the film spacer can be obtained. At this time, the film spacer is brought into close contact with the substrate by a method such as pressure bonding or thermocompression bonding.

As explained in detail above, according to the key input device of the present invention, when a wiring pattern is formed on a key spacer and the key spacer is superimposed on a fixed contact board, the wiring pattern on the key spacer is Since the contact portions are formed on the fixed contact substrate, the wiring density of the substrate can be significantly increased without providing any wiring patterns on both sides of the substrate.
