Conventionally, the upper ear portion of a slide fastener has often had all the fastener elements removed to create a complete space. When the upper ear part is completely spaced in this way, there is an advantage that it is easy to bend and sew the upper ear part when sewing the fastener. However, in the case of a slide fastener in which a coil-shaped or zigzag-shaped fastener element is attached to a fastener tape by sewing, the fastener element may be completely removed, but in the case of a woven slide fastener, a continuous fastener element row is used. is woven into the fastener tape's constituent threads, so if the fastener element is completely removed, the threads in the woven part tend to fray, and the edge of the tape unravels from that part. The big challenge was how to form a completely free space without fraying.

Another conventional example is one in which the fastener element is fused to tape at the upper ear part without removing it, but in this case, the fused part gets in the way when the upper ear part is folded and sewn, and the sewing machine cannot This method has the disadvantage of causing needle breakage and sewing errors.

The present invention has been developed with the above-mentioned points in mind, and by forming a complete space part in which the fastener element has been completely removed and a remaining element part in which only the engaging heads of the element rows have been removed, the element constriction part is created. To provide a woven slide fastener which eliminates fraying and facilitates sewing of an upper ear part.

The present invention will be explained below based on embodiments shown in the drawings. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a woven slide fastener, and top stops 4 are placed above and below a row of continuous fastener elements 3 woven into a woven fastener tape 2.
and a bottom stop 5, and the top stop 4 and bottom stop 5
It has an upper ear part 6 and a lower ear part 7 above and below each of the ear parts. In the illustrated embodiment, the continuous fastener element array 3 is a coiled element, and as shown in FIG. It is integrally woven into the fastener tape by the warp 10, ground weft 11, top weft 12, etc. In the upper ear part 6, the part following the top stop 4 is a complete space part 13 in which the fastener element row 3 is completely removed, and the fastener element row is processed in the tip part as follows. It has a remaining element 14. That is, in the remaining elements 14, the engaging heads 15 of the element row 3 are cut and removed as shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, and the removed end surfaces are melted by ultrasonic waves or the like at the same time as the cutting. Upper and lower legs 1
6 and 17 are connected to each other to form a melting part 18. 6 and 7 show examples in which the upper leg portion 16 or the lower leg portion 17 is melt-formed into a hook shape to form a fused portion 18, respectively. Moreover, FIGS. 8 to 10 show examples of a woven slide fastener which has a splicing yarn 20 on the outside of the connection reversal part 19 in addition to the core cord 9, and a bag woven part 21 is formed along the outside of these threads. A fused portion 18 is formed to surround the inner edge of the core string 9.

By forming the melted portion 18 in this manner, the remaining element 14 is completely prevented from coming off from the cut end surface side, and the tape edge is also prevented from fraying.

FIG. 11 shows the manufacturing process of the above-mentioned woven slide fastener. Long fastener chain 2
The mating fastener element row 3 of No. 2 is removed by a predetermined length to form a complete space part 13, then a film for the top stop 4 is glued as shown in b, and the mating fastener element row 3 is removed using an ultrasonic horn. 3
The above-mentioned fused portion 18 is formed by melting the engaging head 15 side of the mating head 15 to a predetermined length, and at the same time, the upper stop 4 is formed and the protruding hole 23 is formed using the heat of the ultrasonic horn, and at the same time, the cutting line is b cutting the fastener chain 22 along line 26; Next, insert the slider 24 through the cut portion of the protrusion hole 23 and pass the slider through. At this time, the remaining element 25 having the fused portion 18 in front of the protrusion hole 23 serves as a guide for the slider 24, and serves to prevent the left and right sides of the element row 3 from being combined at different levels. Finally, a film for the bottom stop 5 is adhered to the tip of the remaining element 14, and a bottom stop is formed using an ultrasonic horn.d. As a result, the front part of the cutting line 26 becomes the lower ear part 7 having the remaining element 25, and the rear part becomes the upper ear part 6 having the complete space part 13 and the remaining element 14.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the complete space part 13 and the remaining element 14 are formed in the upper ear part 6, when the upper ear part 6 is folded and sewn as shown by the chain line in FIG. Since it is bent and sewn at the complete space part 13, it can be folded freely within the complete space, and can be sewn completely to the edge.Furthermore, since there is no element in the folded part, it is soft and feels good to the human body. It will not be damaged. Furthermore, remaining element 1
4 and top stop 4 are located before and after the complete space part 13, the weaving yarn remaining in the complete space part 13 is prevented from fraying, and since the removed side end surface of the remaining element is melted, the remaining element and core are prevented from fraying. This has the effect of preventing the string and core thread from coming off and preventing the remaining elements from fraying.
