Description
【考案の詳細な説明】
本考案は主として自動2輪車の挿入式マフラに
おける後端化粧板の取付構造に関するもので、マ
フラを量産する場合の生産性の向上を目的として

従来の挿入式マフラでは、一般に第1図に示す

るテーパ付外筒1にバツフル組立体2を後方から
圧入し、マフラ後端部において、バツフル組立体
2のエンドプレート3をリング4に溶接して固定
し、その後エンドプレート3の後面に黒色の耐熱
塗装(塗膜を符号5で示す)を施し、耐触性、外
観を向上させている。リング4は後方(第1図の
右方)へ向い2段に拡開した環状体で、大径部4
aの外周面は外筒1の後端開口部内面に圧接し、
大径部4aの内面には外筒1の後端縁部6がかし
められて、リング4を外筒1に一体化している。
リング4の小径部4bは外周面が外筒1の内面か
ら内方へ離れており、小径部4bの内面にはエン
ドプレート3の外周に設けたテーパ部7が圧接
し、接合部の後縁部分8に全周にわたりアーク溶
接が施してある。従来のバツフル組立体の1実施
例を次に説明する。図示のバツフル組立体2はエ
ンドプレート3の中央の筒状フランジ10に嵌合
溶着されたテールパイプ11と、テールパイプ1
1の前半部に嵌合溶着した2個の隔壁12,13

とができ、商品価値を高く維持し得る利点があ
