Conventional piping for piece-dyed wool knitwear was carried out by sewing knitwear knitted with white threads through dyeing, and then sewing bias tapes made of synthetic fibers such as nylon threads of similar colors to the required areas. However, this method required a lot of sewing man-hours because the bias tape was sewn onto knitwear that was in a sublime state (double the usual amount) after being dyed. In addition, because the fashion colors of knitwear change every year, it is necessary to prepare bias tape in a variety of colors in advance, which makes inventory management troublesome and also causes loss of bias tape, which discolors over time and becomes unusable if not used for a long time. There were also many.

The bias tape for post-dyed wool knitwear of this invention achieves the above object by using wool woven yarn as the weft and crimped nylon woven yarn as the warp.

As shown in Figure 1, the bias tape has 1 weft thread.
is made of wool woven thread, and the warp thread 2 is made of nylon woven thread. Here, the wool yarn is usually 1/30~1/
40 count (meter) is used, and the nylon thread is 100 to 120D. The bias tape is made of a mixture of wool yarn and nylon yarn because wool yarn alone is not strong enough, and nylon yarn alone dyes too quickly, so it can be dyed simultaneously with the wool fabric of knitwear. There is too much difference in shading between the two. The reason why we used wool yarn as the weft yarn was to expose the wool yarn on the surface and make the texture of the bias tape after dyeing similar to that of wool for knitwear. Also, it was crimped as nylon yarn. The reason for using this is to give bias tape the same sublime quality as wool fabric. The nylon yarn may be either nylon 6 or nylon 66.
The weave of the bias tape is usually a plain weave as shown in the illustration, but it may also be a squeeze weave, a diagonal weave, a ribbed weave, or the like.

As shown in FIG. 2, the bias tape 3 is sewn to a button attachment area A, a pocket edging area B, etc. for piping or the like of wool knitwear knitted with white yarn, as shown in FIG. This sewing work is very efficient because it is performed before the wool knitwear is dyed. Next, the wool knitwear with the bias tape 3 sewn on is dyed with an acid dye as in the conventional method. At this time, the bias tape has wool yarns exposed on the front side, and is dyed in a similar color and texture that matches the wool fabric.
