を得ないことと考えられていた。 There are three types of tanks that store liquids under atmospheric pressure: fixed roof type, floating roof type, and floating roof type with fixed roof. The floating roof prevents evaporation loss of the contents, and the fixed roof protects from the effects of wind, rain, snow and pollution. However, in the event of an earthquake,
If the liquid level vibrates, causing the so-called sloshing phenomenon, and the floating roof on the liquid surface shakes as shown in Figure 4, if the liquid is almost full, it will move as shown by the chain line in Figure 4. In this case, the upper edge of the outer surface of the pontoon 5', which is a floating roof, collides with the corresponding part of the fixed roof 2', and an accident is likely to occur in which the pontoon 5' or both the pontoon and the fixed roof are damaged. Also, the reduction in the effective volume of the tank was considered unavoidable due to the double roof structure.

Focusing on the point that by increasing the height as much as possible, the effective volume of the tank can be increased by that amount, the upper edge part that extends from the upper surface of the pontoon to the outer surface is formed as a beveled surface along the lower surface of the fixed roof.

傾斜面に形成されている。 As is well known, a floating roof tank with a fixed roof is covered with a fixed roof 2' whose upper surface is connected to a peripheral wall 1', as shown in Fig. 1, and has a floating roof above the internal storage liquid level. 3' seems to be floating. This floating roof 3' is usually of the pontoon type, and as shown in Fig. 2, it has an annular shape with the interior divided into a number of chambers around the periphery of a flat roof plate 4', similar to that of floating roof tanks. A pontoon 5' is provided, and the upper and lower surfaces of the pontoon 5' are formed into inclined surfaces that gradually widen upward and downward toward the outer periphery.

Due to this structure, even in the event of a collision with the lower surface of the fixed roof due to fluctuation of the liquid level, the shape remains sharp compared to the conventional one. Since there is surface contact with each other compared to the conventional floating roof type with a fixed roof, it is less likely to cause damage, and even if damage occurs, the damage can be minimized, which is superior in terms of safety. When the pontoon rose, the upper edge of the outer surface of the pontoon got stuck on the lower surface of the fixed roof and could not rise any further.
As shown by the chain line in the figure, the beveled surface 6 is the fixed roof 2.
Since the pontoon 5 can be raised until it meets the lower surface, and the pontoon 5 has a horizontal upper surface necessary for maintaining buoyancy, the roof plate 4 can also be raised higher, and therefore the amount of oil stored can be expected to increase accordingly. For example, in a 25,000Kl tank, it is possible to increase the capacity by about 350Kl, which is about 1.4% of that capacity. In FIG. 3, 1 is a side wall and 7 is a seal.
