Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency in manufacturing by using the rod made of electrically insulating body or of good conductor on one part of the rod to be used and preventing the welding of the rod thereof and a wire only. CONSTITUTION:A pair of annular jigs 1a, 1b are prepared and holes 2a, 2b in same number corresponding to each jig are formed thereon. The frame 4 in a cylindrical shape, etc. is formed by inserting a rod 3 into the corresponding hole. In this case, the material made of electrically insulating body or good conductor is used for one part 3b of the rod 3 and the rod 3 is made of the material of stainless steel, etc. which can be subjected to a resistance welding without exception. The frame 4 is fed in the axial direction and a wire 5 is spirally wound on the frame 4, and the resistance welding is performed with an electrode 7, then the rod 3a is welded and the welding of the rod 3b and wire 5 is prevented due to the shortage of heating. In this way, the product in the necessary number of rods can be manufactured surely at all times, so the manufacturing efficiency of the product is improved.

(2) Prior art and its problems In the prior art, when a wire screen with a wide lot interval is desired, the wire is wound around a frame with a small number of lofts, resulting in a polygonal column shape, and the wire is wound at high speed. When winding is attempted, there is insufficient contact between the wire and the rod, resulting in a so-called "pop-up phenomenon" and a problem in that insufficient welding occurs in some areas.

Structure of the Invention (1) Means and Effects for Solving Problems In the present invention, when manufacturing a wire screen made by resistance welding wires and rods, a part of the wire screen is substantially made of an electrical insulator or a good electrical conductor. By using a steel rod, we do not weld the intersection between the rod and the wire. Thereby, a wire screen with a desired number of lofts arranged at desired positions can be manufactured.

The substantially electrically insulating or electrically conductive rod may be of the same length as the pond rod, but shorter lengths may also be used. That is, the 20 rod may be made long enough to cooperate with the electrodes to clamp the wire, and may be fixed to a fixed position rotation type jig among the jigs.

(2) Examples 1a and 1b are a pair of annular jigs, the size of which is determined by the size of the screen to be manufactured. The same number of guide holes 2a and 2b are bored in each jig. When the rod 3 is inserted into the corresponding guide hole, a cylindrical frame 4 is formed. Of course, the shape of the frame is not necessarily limited to a cylindrical shape, and may be, for example, an elliptical cylindrical shape, if necessary.

The inner diameter, shape, and number of guide holes are determined by the outer diameter, shape, and number of the opening 3. Of this lot 3, 3a is made of a material that can be normally resistance welded such as iron or stainless steel, and 3b is made of a substantially electrically insulating material such as ceramic or a good electrical conductor such as copper.

The wire 5 is wound helically around the frame 4 by moving the cylindrical frame 4 in the axial direction (in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 2) and rotating it on the center line in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 1 using an automatic feeder. During this time, the fixed position rotating jig lb rotates in the fixed position without moving in the direction of the arrow in FIG.
It will slide inside. When a low voltage and a large current is passed through this wire, the contact portion between the wire 5 and the rod 3a generates resistance heat and is melted and crimped. However, at the contact point between the wire 5 and the rod 3b made of a substantially electrically insulated material or a good electrical conductor, resistance welding does not occur due to insufficient heat generation or large heat radiation. Reference numeral 7 denotes an electrode through which a current is applied while a wire wound around a rod is held down by a hydraulic cylinder or the like.

If the jig 1aS lb is removed here, a cylindrical screen 8 is completed in which the required number (that is, the number of resistance weldable rods 3a) of lofts are arranged at the required positions (FIG. 3).

FIG. 5 shows another embodiment. In this example, the rod 3b is fixed on the fixed-position rotating jig 1b, and only needs to be long enough to cooperate with the electrode 7 and clamp the wire 5.

The flat screen 9 shown in FIG. 4 is a cylindrical screen made by arranging rods 3a and 3b at an appropriate ratio and cut along its generatrix line to form a flat screen. This makes it possible to obtain a flat screen with a desired pattern. In this case, since the number of rods is reduced by the number of rods 3b made of substantially electrically insulating material or electrically conductive material, the internal residual stress is large, and accordingly, the task of forming the glabella into a flat plate becomes easy.

C. Effects of the Invention According to the present invention, it is possible to manufacture a wire screen in which a desired number of rods are arranged at desired positions, and when winding wire, resistance welding can be reliably performed without reducing the rotation speed. In addition, various effects can be achieved, such as being able to manufacture a screen with a small number of rods that is easy to use between the eyebrows.
