In such a double edge forming device, the toner remaining on the photoreceptor is removed by a cleaning means, but the removed waste toner may aggregate, resulting in poor performance, and paper dust may be present in the toner. Due to problems such as contamination, it could not be reused, so it was collected in the waste toner box.
One collection method is to introduce waste toner into a waste toner box using a spiral conveyance means and drop it into a waste toner box (for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 56-57076). Because of the storage, a space is created in the box and the storage capacity is reduced, making it impossible to fully utilize the volume inside the box, requiring a large and compact waste toner box, resulting in poor storage efficiency and an increase in the size of the entire device. On the other hand, in order to solve this problem, a method has been proposed in which the mountain-shaped waste toner is vibrated and smoothed using some kind of vibrating means to increase the actual volume of the collection container, but since it generates impact noise, it is only a problem of noise. However, this method has the disadvantage that waste toner leaks or scatters, contaminating the inside of the device.

In addition, the opening of the waste toner collection container is covered by a member that compresses and solidifies the waste toner to increase its density and a member that partitions the waste toner collection container, thereby preventing contamination due to leakage or scattering of the collected toner into the apparatus. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a cleaning device that prevents the above problems.

When the photosensitive drum 1, which is rotatably supported by the printer main body, is driven to rotate in the direction of arrow A, the drum surface is charged -m by the band holder 2. This charged portion is exposed to a light image by the optical signal generator 13, and an electrostatic latent image is formed on the drum surface. When this electrostatic latent image passes through a developing device 4 that forms a magnetic brush,
Visualized by toner. The thus formed toner fjIl is transferred by the transfer device 5 from the transfer paper stacker 8 onto the transfer paper 9 which is fed to the transfer position in synchronization with the toner spade on the photosensitive drum. The transferred transfer paper 91:1: is separated from the photosensitive drum 1, sent to the fixing device io, and discharged to the paper discharge tray 1. After the transfer is completed as described above, the surface of the photoreceptor drum has approximately 30
The residual toner in which up to 40% of untransferred toner remains is removed by a cleaning device 6. The drum portion that has been cleaned is neutralized to a certain level by the static eliminating lamp 7, and is prepared for the next planning process. The cleaning device will be explained in detail with reference to FIG. Figure 2 shows a cross section of an embodiment of the present invention. In Figure 1, 1 is a photosensitive drum, and a cleaning blade is used to remove untransferred toner remaining on the drum by a known method.

The scraping member is composed of a drive shaft blade and a scraping plate, and is rotated around the drive shaft by a drive source (not shown). The material of the scraping plate may be any rigid material such as a phosphor bronze plate or a resin material. Reference numeral 27 is a waste toner compression member, which is elastic due to the compression caused by the rotation of the scraping member. It consists of a waste toner compression plate that moves back and forth. The waste toner compression plate 28 is made of a cantilevered elastic body; one end thereof is fixed to the back inner wall of the waste toner box, and the other end is set in contact with the drive shaft. The material of the waste toner compression plate is Pl[i
An elastic body such as a T-sheet, a phosphor bronze plate, or a resin material is desirable. Reference numeral 29 denotes a partition member made of a cantilevered elastic body, one end of which is fixed to the front plate δ, and the other end of which abuts against the waste toner compression plate, thereby separating the opening of the waste toner box grave and collecting the waste toner. Prevent waste toner from leaking. The partition member 29 is made of a partition plate (to), and its material is P.
An elastic body such as an ET sheet, a phosphor bronze plate, or a resin material is desired. The relationship among the scraping member, waste toner compression member, and separation member will be explained using FIG. The toner removed from the photoreceptor drum by the cleaning blade and falling and deposited on the dividing plate 304 is scraped off by the scraping unit and removed to the waste toner box part 3 located at the bottom of the scraping member n.
−α It is further dropped and stored as shown in the figure. Here, the behavior of the partition plate blade is that it comes into contact with the waste toner compression plate until just before it is pressed by the scraping plate a, shields the waste toner box opening, and then elastically deforms when it is pressed by the scraping plate. Then, the shielding is released and the scraped toner is introduced and stored in the waste toner box. When the pressure is released by rotation of the buffing plate arm, the buffing plate arm returns to the position where it comes into contact with the waste toner compression plate due to its own elastic force, thereby blocking the waste toner box opening.

Although the toner is stored under pressure inside the waste toner box, the opening of the waste toner box always remains shielded, so the collected toner leaks out of the cleaning device. 能である。Originally, in the ts example, both the compression member and the support member are made of cantilevered elastic bodies, and are constructed so as to maintain a shielded state at all times.
In order to compress, transport and prevent waste toner from scattering, K is allowed to have a small opening for a short period of time. f That is, the compression member and the support member are cantilevered elastic bodies, and the above object is substantially achieved by configuring the distance between the support ends of the two members to be smaller than the sum of the effective lengths of the two members. Furthermore, it is more desirable that both of them and the scraping material together keep the three members in a shielded state. In other words, the compression member and the partition member are cantilevered elastic bodies that fix one end, and the free end of one of the two members is attached to the other side. It is more desirable to have a configuration in which the biasing force is biased by an elastic force so as to come into pressure contact with the cantilever, and the biasing force is not limited to the elastic force of the cantilever. motion 0]'
It is also possible to provide a separate biasing means.
