Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the adjustment for a filter used for an oscillator by constituting a surface acoustic wave resonator and the filter on one and the same board and manufacturing and adjusting them at the same time so as to attain the miniaturization with simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:The titled oscillator consists of an oscillation section 1, a multiplier 2 multiplying the output of the oscillation section and a surface acoustic wave unit 3 comprising a surface acoustic wave resonator 9 and a filter 10. The oscillation section 1 is connected to the resonator 9 in the surface acoustic wave unit 3 via terminals 4,5, and the oscillation is kept by the resonator 9. The output of the multiplier section 2 is given to the filter 10 in the unit 3 via a terminal 6, an output signal eliminating an undesired signal is obtained from a terminal 7 of the surface acoustic wave unit 3 and the result is outputted to a terminal 13. Thus, the excellent output signal eliminating the output signal distortion is obtained, the constitution is simplified, the miniaturization and massproductivity are attained and the adjustment of the filter as the oscillator is not required.

Furthermore, since the resonator and the waveguide are formed on the same substrate, the frequency-temperature characteristics can also be compensated for each other. Furthermore, since surface acoustic wave resonators and Te wave resonators can be manufactured and adjusted at the same time,
Adjustment of the Te waver as an oscillator becomes unnecessary.
