Both sides, top and rear surfaces can be formed by bending into a single plate, or both side plates, top and rear plates may be overlapped and welded, or the cross-section can be made into one piece by any means such as fixing with bolts and nuts. It is almost U-shaped. A heat exchanger 2 is housed in the front side of the outer panel 1, and is supported by a bottom plate 4 fixed to the upper and lower surfaces of the outer panel 1. A drain pan 3 is provided on the lower surface of the heat exchanger 2, and is formed into a container having a watertight structure so that the stored dehumidified water does not leak. The drain pan 3 is provided with a drain hole (not shown) for draining the stored dehumidified water to the outside by gravity. A bottom plate 4 is installed below the drain pan 3 to support the drain pan 3 and to shield the bottom of the outer plate 1. 5 is a fan deck that partitions the inside of the outer panel 1 into a chamber for the heat exchanger 2 and a chamber for the blower 6. 6 is a blower, which is attached to the fan deck 5. Reference numeral 7 denotes a suction grill provided at the rear of the lower surface of the outer panel 1, which is an opening for sucking indoor air into the air conditioner. 8 is above the suction grill 7,
This is an air filter stretched between the fan deck 5 and the rear surface of the outer panel 1. Reference numeral 9 denotes a blowout grill provided on the front surface of the outer panel 1. For example, during cooling operation, the cooled and dehumidified air inside the air conditioner is passed through the blowout grill 9.
It is blown into the room through.

Heat is exchanged with the refrigerant flowing through the container 2, cooled and dehumidified, and then blown into the room from the outlet grill 9.
The dehumidified moisture becomes water droplets on the surface of the heat exchanger 2, falls downward, enters the drain pan 3, and is discharged to the outside of the air conditioner by gravity through a drain hole (not shown) provided in the drain pan 3.

る。 Here, as described above, the bottom plate 4 is located below the drain pan 3 and supports the drain pan 3, and the entire amount of air blown out from the blower 6 flows through the heat exchanger 2 without leaking to the outside of the air conditioner. It is installed so as to block the air between the lower parts of the fan deck 5, drain pan 3, and outlet grille 9 so that the air can pass through and be blown into the room from the outlet grille 9.

点があつた。 As mentioned above, the drain pan 3 and the bottom plate 4 each have their own unique functions, so they are formed separately, which results in high costs for these parts, and also increases the number of assembly steps. Furthermore, since ceiling-suspended air conditioners are installed by suspending them from the ceiling of a room,
It is desirable to make air conditioners lighter in order to make installation easier, for reasons such as the need to reinforce the ceiling and the weight of the air conditioner when it is manually lifted up to the ceiling, etc. However, in the past, even if the drain pan 3 was made of lightweight materials such as synthetic resin or expanded polystyrene, the bottom plate 4 was made separately from a steel plate, which was heavy and made it difficult to make the unit sufficiently light.

The drain pan 4 is made of the same lightweight material as the drain pan 3, thereby reducing its weight.

There is. The dehumidified water received on the top surface is discharged by gravity to the outside of the air conditioner through a drain hole (not shown) provided in the drain pan/bottom plate 10. The upper surface of the drain pan/bottom plate 10 forms a container with a watertight structure so that the dehumidified water received on the upper surface does not leak. In addition, the drain pan/bottom plate 10 includes a fan deck 5 and a blowout grill 9.
