In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention has been developed by sandwiching the leading edge of photographic paper that is continuously fed from an exposure section between a waiting moving roller and a moving pressure roller. The movable pressure roller is moved to a predetermined position and stopped, and the leading end of the photographic paper that is continuously fed out hangs down while being held in the above-mentioned manner, forming a loop shape. Alternatively, when the final end of the long photographic paper passes the exposure section roller, the movable roller and the movable pressure roller move from the above-mentioned stop position toward the developing machine, and the leading end of the photographic paper being held is moved toward the developing machine. The feature is that the side roller is moved to release the pressure contact between the moving roller and the moving pressure roller, and then the moving roller and the moving pressure roller are returned to the standby position and the above operation is repeated.

In the present invention, the leading end of photographic paper that is continuously fed from an exposure section by a roller or the like is held between a waiting moving roller and a moving pressing roller, and while being held, the moving roller and the moving pressing roller The photographic paper is rotated toward the developing machine to transport the photographic paper from the exposure section to the developing machine. During the transport, the moving roller and the moving pressure roller are temporarily stopped at predetermined positions. As a result of this stopping, the photographic paper sent from the exposure section is stopped with its leading end being clamped, so that it hangs down and forms a loop. When the photographic paper is manually cut at the end of printing, or when printing continues and the longest paper that can be processed is accumulated, the movable roller and movable pressure roller hold the leading edge of the photographic paper and turn it toward the developing machine. The leading edge of the photographic paper is fed into the developing machine roller, and when the developing machine roller receives the photographic paper, the pressure contact between the moving roller and the moving pressure roller is released. In the released state, the shunting/moving roller and the movable pressure roller return to their original positions and wait for the next photographic paper to be fed.

In the photographic paper conveyance method according to the present invention, the leading end of the photographic paper sent from the exposure section is held and conveyed by a moving roller and a moving pressure roller, which may cause scratches on the photographic paper. By reducing the number of points that pass between the guides, we are able to reduce the risk of scratches on the photographic paper, and by reducing the number of moving parts, we are able to reduce noise and simplify the system. Therefore, it is useful for space saving, and as mentioned above, since the leading end of the photographic paper is only held between the two, it can be used regardless of the size of the photographic paper.
