担持体に層形成部材を当接し、該層形成部材によ
り現像剤に所定の電荷を付与すると共に現像剤担
持体上に現像剤の薄層を形成し、現像剤担持体に
高周波交番電圧を印加することにより前記薄層の
現像剤を静電潜像保持体上に飛翔させて静電潜像
を可視像にする一成分現像装置において、前記高
周波交番電圧の波形を時間軸に関し非対称に設定
したことを特徴とする一成分現像装置。 (2) 前記高周波交番電圧の波形は、現像剤担持
体から静電潜像保持体に現像剤が飛翔する方向に
印加する時間をT1、静電潜像保持体から現像剤
担持体に現像剤が戻される方向に印加する時間を
