Prior art and problems to be solved When stacking and packing thin steel plates, etc. for transportation, it is customary to place several wooden dunnage, so-called skids, parallel to each other on the work floor, place the cargo on top of them, and use hoops, etc. The skid is tied with a band to prevent it from moving, and the entire skid is hoisted with a hoist or a forklift and transported by truck.

By the way, as shown in Fig. 3, when a large number of thin steel plates, plywood boards, etc. are piled up to form a pile 3 and placed on skids 1 at appropriate intervals, the load 3 will be weighed down between the skids due to its own weight. It is common for the intermediate portion 4 to sag or sag. If the skid is made of wood, the corners of the skid will be deformed even if the cargo bends like this, or the cargo will become wedged in the wooden skid, causing the corners of the skid to become rounded to match the shape of the cargo, and the cargo may be damaged. Since it doesn't stick, there is no problem.

However, due to the shortage of wood, square steel pipes have gradually come to be substituted for skids, and the present applicant has previously proposed a skid-type pallet in which square steel pipes are combined vertically and horizontally (Jikkosho). This skid-type pallet made of square steel pipes is easy to assemble and disassemble, and its volume can be reduced by disassembly, making it convenient for storing or transporting for collection. When a load of stacked thin steel plates, etc. is placed on this pallet, the thin steel plates, etc. sag between the skids, and because the skids are made of steel, unlike wood, the corners on both sides of the top surface of the steel pipes used as skids are difficult to deform. As a result, there is a problem in that the thin steel plates and the like at the bottom of the cargo tend to break at both corners of the top surface of the steel pipe due to the weight of the cargo, or to develop flaws.

Means for Solving the Problems The present invention provides a packing skid in which a plurality of skids are arranged in parallel with a distance between each other under the cargo, and are bundled together with the cargo to facilitate cargo handling and transportation. Made of almost square lightweight steel pipe,
The present invention relates to a packing skid made of irregularly shaped light weight steel pipes, characterized in that the upper surface, that is, the loading surface bulges upward in an arc shape, and the other three surfaces are in contact with each other at right angles, two each.

Conventionally, in order to mass-produce lightweight square steel pipes, steel strips, etc. are continuously passed through rolls to form them into a round cross-section, the butts are welded to create a round steel pipe, and then the steel pipes are passed through forming rolls to make the cross-section square. Therefore, it is difficult to change only the curvature of a specific corner among the four corners of a rectangular cross section, or to make only one surface an arcuate curved surface. On the other hand, it is difficult to increase the curvature of a corner from the viewpoint of application However, advances in bending roll technology have made mass production of various deformed steel pipes possible.
The square steel pipe for skids of this invention was developed.

The steel pipe 2 for skids shown in Fig. 2 has an arcuate top surface, and the bottom surface opposite to the top surface is not flat, but has a groove-like recess 2a at the position where the band is applied. This is an example of a square steel pipe.

As shown in Figure 1, the bulge of the instep has a ratio h:a of the height h of the crown to the string a of approximately 1:15.
The ratio is 1:30, and the bulge on the top surface provides elastic support for the load placed on it, preventing it from receiving concentrated stress and preventing dents from forming on the load. become. If the above h:a ratio is larger than 1:15, the contact will be depressed and will receive concentrated stress, making it easy to cause indentations on the cargo;
If it is smaller, it will be the same as when a load is placed on a general square steel pipe, and there is a high risk that the weight of the load will cause it to break at both corners of the top surface of the steel pipe, or cause flaws.

Figures 3 and 4 show an example of its usage condition, which is a so-called single skid in which the skid is laid in one layer. The hoops 6 are placed on top of the rounded square steel pipes 1 and the cargo 3 made of thin steel plates, etc. is placed on top of them at appropriate intervals with the rounded sides facing up
The figure shows a state in which the container is bundled together with the cargo 3 on top of the container. In the figure, reference numeral 7 indicates a pad to protect the corner of the cargo from the hoop band.

Figures 6 and 7 are examples of so-called double skids in which skids are used in two stages.
In this example, ordinary square steel pipes are arranged in parallel at appropriate intervals, and on top of them the round-shaped square steel pipes 1 of the present invention shown in Fig. 1 are placed at right angles, and a thin steel plate, etc. The figure shows a state in which a cargo 3 is loaded and the square steel tube with the rounded top and the cargo are bound together by a hoop passed through the square steel tube 8 in the lower stage. The square steel pipe 8 in the lower stage and the round square steel pipe 1 placed on top of it
As in the device described in the above-mentioned Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 47-24859, appropriate locking fittings are provided at the intersections of the upper surfaces of the lower square steel pipes in order to facilitate assembly in a lattice shape or to prevent mutual movement. Alternatively, it is convenient to use if a stopper is provided at both ends to prevent the inverted round rectangular steel tube placed thereon from coming off.

Effects As explained above, the packing skid of the present invention uses rounded square steel pipes and is laid on the floor with the arc-shaped upper surface serving as the loading surface, on which cargo such as thin steel plates is placed. Since it provides elastic support to the cargo and avoids stress concentration, it is possible to prevent indentations from occurring on the cargo.

Furthermore, even if the load is bent between the skids or sagged due to unbalanced loading, the upper surface of the skid has a curved surface with an arcuate cross section, thereby preventing the load from being bent or damaged.

Alternatively, the spring action between the pad applied to the curved surface of the skid and the band hoop prevents the band from loosening during transportation, eliminating the risk of the cargo collapsing. In addition, dust and rust can get inside lightweight deformed steel pipes, which can cause harm to cargo and people during transportation, so to prevent this, the ends of skid steel pipes are covered. Sometimes,
In this case, it is not possible to pass the band hoop through the steel pipe and tighten it, so if you use one with the shape shown in Figure 2 and tie the band hoop in the groove on the bottom, the band will not come off. There is also no need to use a bottom pad.

The rounded irregular square steel tube for skids of the present invention is simply a conventional square steel tube with a special shape change, but if it is used as a skid, it can provide a number of great practical effects.
