Conventionally, this type of refrigerator has a machine room 3 in which a compressor 2 is installed in the lower part of the refrigerator body l, as shown in Utility Model Application Publication No. 58-190378 (Fig. 7). In addition to providing a machine room cover 4 that covers the opening, this machine room cover 4 is also provided with air circulation slits 5, but this structure does not cause high levels of noise or noise when the compressor is started. No consideration was given to shielding noise from driving at night.

The above object is to provide a refrigerator equipped with a machine room equipped with a compressor and a cover covering the machine room, in which a sound insulating plate provided on the cover and a drive member made of a shape memory alloy connected to the sound insulating plate are provided. The sound insulating plate is achieved by opening and closing a portion of the cover using the driving member.

In the present invention, if the transformation temperature of the shape memory alloy is between the low temperature and high temperature temperatures in the air in the machine room or in the refrigeration cycle in the machine room, the shape memory alloy can be used at high temperatures immediately after the start of the compressor and when the compressor operation is stable. The large change in the shape of the alloy allows the sound insulation board to open and close automatically.

The driving member 13 includes a shape memory alloy 15, a bias spring 16,
It consists of an operating rod 14, and is configured such that a shape memory alloy 15 contracts as shown in FIG. 4 at low temperatures, and expands as shown in FIG. 5 at high temperatures. 17 is a sound absorbing material attached to a sound insulating plate.

Next, the operation of the above configuration will be explained. When the compressor 2 starts and starts operating, the temperature in the machine room 3 gradually rises, and when the shape memory alloy 15 is heated and reaches a transformation temperature (approximately 40°C) or higher, it generates a large force and as shown in FIG. (Stretches, compresses the opposing bias spring 16, pushes up the operating rod 14, and as a result, the sound insulation plates 10a, 10b are
The shape memory alloy 15 is kept at a temperature above its transformation temperature, and the air inside the machine room 3 circulates efficiently as shown by the thick arrow. As long as the inside of the refrigerator 6 is cooled enough, the refrigerator interior temperature control thermostat (not shown) is turned off, and the compressor 2 When the machine is stopped, the temperature in the machine room 3 gradually decreases and when the shape memory alloy 15 becomes below the transformation temperature, the shape memory alloy 1 succumbs to the repulsive force of the compressed bias spring 16.
5 contracts, and as a result, the operating rod 14 is pushed down as shown in FIG. This is done only with air exchanged through the gap in the air outlet 8, etc., but since the temperature in the machine room is high (there is none), there is no problem.

As shown in C1, the temperature of the shape memory alloy exceeds the transformation temperature of 40°C for a while after the compressor is turned on (the shaded area in the figure corresponds). The board opens and closes (opens and closes). At this time, at the time of startup, when the sound of the compressor is the loudest, the temperature of the shape memory alloy is low (therefore, the sound insulating board is in the closed state).

When the room temperature is 20℃, the operating rate of the compressor is low as shown in (a'), and the compressor is turned off before the temperature of the shape memory alloy reaches the transformation point, as shown in (ke). As shown in (σ), the sound insulating plate remains closed, and the operating noise generated from the machine room is always sound-insulated.
