Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a shower equipment which is electrically safe and which is convenient for use, by electrically separating a mixing valve unit from a setter by using optical signals transmitted via an optical fiber in order to connect the setter with a controller, and by passing the optical fiber through a shower hose. CONSTITUTION:A controller 21 is equipped with an emitter 27 and a receptor 28. It transmits optical signals to a setter 25 from the emitter 27 through an optical fiber 26. The setter 25 converts the optical signals into mechanically received signals and the receptor 28 of a controller 21 receives the converted optical signals. The controller 21 confirms the condition and the quantity of water set by the setter 25, comparing those data with signals from a thermistor 20, controlling a mixing valve driver 19, based on the deviation value. In such a manner a user can use mixed water of desired temperature at the time of taking a shower. The title shower equipment can be safely used in a damp bath room because the setter 25 is electrically isolated, since the mixing valve unit 22 and the setter 25 in a shower head 24 are connected by the optical fiber 26. The structure of this device is safely assured as the optical fiber will not come out of a shower head 24.
