本発明は、転写シートを用いて絵付けを行なう化粧シー

化粧シートを製造するひとつの技術として、基材フィル
ム上に、剥離層、絵柄の印刷層および接着剤層をこの順
で設けた転写シートを用いて、熱ロールで加熱圧着する
ことにより、プラスチックのシートに絵柄を転写した後
、基材フィルムを剥離して化粧シートを得る方法がある
。 この方法は、転写シート上の接着剤層を熱ロールに
より活性化して接着力を出させると同時に、これをプラ
スチックのシート上に圧着して転写を行なうため転写の
スピードを高めることができない。 従って、生産工程

本発明の化粧シートの製造方法は、基材フィルム上に剥
離層および絵柄の印刷層を有するシートに接着剤を塗布
し、この接着剤層が粘着性を有する間に、プラスチック
シート上にロールで圧着することにより、絵柄を転写し
、乾燥した後、基材フィルムを剥離することからなる。
基材フィルムの材料は、ポリエステル、ポリウレタン、
ポリアミド、ポリイミド、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリ
サルホン、ポリアリルサルホン、ポリエーテルサルホン
など、比較的剥離性のよいプラスチックがよい。
剥離層は、転写後に剥離したとき、絵柄の印刷層の側に
残るタイプを用いる。 そうすれば、絵柄の印刷に対し
て、剥離層が保護層の役目を果す1この代表的なものは
、メチルメタクリレート樹脂に常用の離型剤を数パーセ
ント添加したものである。
絵柄の印刷は、通常の印刷インキを用いて、グラビアそ
のほかの任意の方法で印刷すればよい。
ここで「絵柄の印刷層」とは、通常の単色または多色刷
の絵柄の印刷層はもちろん、無色であってもメタリック
調など特別な意匠感をもつ印刷層をも包含する。
メタリック調の印刷層は、アルミニウムの粉末に代表さ
れる金属の粉末を、常用のビヒクルに適宜の割合で混合
してなるインキを用意し、これをシルクスクリーン印刷
、グラビア印刷などの任意の手段で印刷して形成すれば
よい。
接着剤としては、フェノール樹脂、尿素樹脂、メラミン
樹脂などに代表される熱硬化性樹脂、ポリ酢酸ビニル、
メチルシアノアクリレート、ポリエチレンなどに代表さ
れる熱可塑性樹脂、天然ゴム、スチレン−ブタジェンゴ
ム、アクリロニトリル−ブタジェンゴムなどに代表され
るゴムおよび尿素−ポリ酢酸ビニル、フェノール樹脂−
ポリ酢酸ビニル、メラミン樹脂−アクリル樹脂などに代
表される複合樹脂を用いた、溶剤タイプまたはエマルジ
ョンタイプの接着剤を用いることができる。
接着剤層は、上記の接着剤を用いて、転写直前に、グラ
ビアコート、ロールコートなどの任意の手段で塗布して
粘着性を有する状態で形成すればよい。
プラスチックシートとしては、ポリエチレン、ポリプロ
ピレン、ポリエステル、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリスチレン
、ポリカーボネート、ポリイミド、AB3などから選ん
だもののシートを用いればよい。
1作 用】
本発明の化粧シートの製造方法に従えば、接着剤層が粘
着性を有する間に転写を行なうので、熱ロールで加熱圧
着する必要がなく、単なるロールで圧着することにより
転写が可能である。 つまり、いったん不活性になった
接着剤層を加熱活性化する時間が不要になる。
[実施例]
アクリル系樹脂をコートして形成した剥@層を有する厚
さ25μのポリエステルフィルム[ルミラーSJ (
東し)上に、グラビアインキを用いてグラビア印刷し、
絵柄の印刷層を形成した。
このシート上に版深45μのグラビア板を用いて、アク
リル系樹脂の接着剤rH8−30J (昭和インク工
業)を塗布し、接着剤層を設けた転写シートを形成した
。 この転写シートを、接着剤層が粘着性を有する間に
、厚さ400μのABS樹脂のシートにロールで圧着す
ることにより、絵柄を転写した。 その後、温度40℃
、時間1分の条件下で乾燥し、基材フィルムを剥離して
化粧シートを得た。
発明の効果
本発明の化粧シートの製造方法によれば、転写工程のス
ピードアップ化ができるので、工程全体の生産性を高め
ることができ、従って、製品のコストが低廉となる。
従来は接着剤として熱溶融による接着機能を生じるもの
を使用していたが、本発明によりその選択できる範囲が
広くなる。
この製造方法により得られた化粧シートの代表的な用途
としては、自動車のインストルメントパネルなどがあげ
