PURPOSE:To enable prevention of thermal deformation of a foundation block, by a method wherein the whole surface of the upper surface of the foundation block is covered with a heat insulating material, pipe is buried in the interior of the foundation block, and underground water is caused to flow through the pipe. CONSTITUTION:A foundation 1 is placed in a manner to be buried in a ground 6. Jack holes 5 are formed in the ground 1, and a jack 3 is buried therein to support a machine body 7. The whole of the upper surface of the ground 1 is covered with a heat insulating material 2 so as to prevent the foundation surface from exposure to the air, so that the foundation 1 is prevented from thermal deformation due to a room temperature. Simultaneously, a pipe 4 is caused to crawl in a mandering manner in an upper part in the vicinity of the jack hole 5. Underground water, the temperature of which is less apt to change, is caused to flow through the pipe 4 to prevent thermal deformation of the foundation 1, and through prevention of the production of a change in the level of a machine, precision of a machine is improved.

ジグザグに這わせ、このパイプ4に水温の変化の少ない
地下水を通し基礎lの熱変形を防止し、機械のレベル変
化を防止して、機械の精度向上をはかっている。
