Traditionally, the overflow detection method for ships' ballast tanks and wing tanks was done manually using sounding pipes, but in recent years, with the increase in the size of cargo handling machines such as cargo ships, water injection and drainage methods have been used to shorten tank water injection time. Pumps have also become larger, and as a result, conventional manual measurement takes time and cannot keep up with the water injection speed of the pump, often resulting in flooding accidents.

Therefore, instead of manual labor using sounding tubes, pneumatic or electrical remote control sounding methods and devices, or high liquid level warning devices, etc., are being adopted, but all of these are expensive and It takes a lot of time and money to repair it when it breaks down.

The present invention was developed under the above circumstances, with the purpose of solving the problems of conventional sounding methods and sounding devices, and providing a liquid level measuring device for ships that is easy to maintain and manage, including storage, and has the following characteristics: A liquid level measuring device installed in a tank top,
A guide pipe having a cover attached to the body so as to be openable and closable and having a water infiltration hole formed in the bottom plate; and a sliding body having a measuring scale integrally formed on a float and being removably inserted into the guide pipe. The water infiltration hole is set to a shape and size into which a measuring scale can be inserted, and when the sliding body is stored, the measuring scale is oriented downward and inserted into the water intrusion hole. A detailed description will be given below based on exemplary drawings.

In addition, the sliding body 5 may be damaged by the guide pipe 4 depending on the water intrusion level.
It consists of a float 9 that slides up and down inside the float 9, and a measuring rod 10 that is fixedly protruding from the float 9. It is set longer than that. Of course, the measuring scale 10 is color-coded for each fixed length so that the amount of protrusion can be recognized at a glance from a distance.

In addition, reference numeral 11 denotes a mooring rope used when pulling the sliding body 5 out of the guide pipe 4;
One end of the tether 11 is fixed to the outer peripheral wall of the float 9 so as not to interfere with measurement, and the other end of the tether 11 is fixed to the outer peripheral wall of the float 9 through a suitable fitting 15, as illustrated in FIG. and is fixed to the lid body 6.

0 from tilting or swinging. The posture maintaining member 12 is, for example, one piece of a hinge 13 fixed to the lid 6 and the other piece fixed to the guide pipe 4. A ring body 14 is attached so as to be tiltable and protrusive toward the opening side, and is openable and closable at the tip of the other end.
The ring body 14 is configured to support the measuring scale 10 by, for example, attaching it to the ring body 14.

First, FIG. 3A shows how it is used during measurement, in which the sliding body 5 causes the measuring scale 10 to protrude upward,
The ring body 14 protruding from the lid body 6 is supported so as to be slidable in the vertical direction.
Inject water into the wing tank 2 while checking the protrusion amount of 0. That is, as the water level in the wing tank 2 rises, the measuring scale 10 moves to the float 9.
Since the water is pushed up by the buoyancy of the wing tank 2 and rises inside the guide pipe 4, the water level inside the wing tank 2 can be determined by the amount of protrusion of the measuring scale 10, and this confirmation can be done instantly even from a short distance. Therefore, there is no occurrence of overflow as in the conventional case.

When the water in the wing tank 2 becomes full, the filling and draining pump (not shown) is stopped, and since the liquid level measuring device 3 is no longer necessary, the sliding body 5 is placed in the state shown in FIG. 3B. Store it in the guide pipe 4.

Specifically, the measuring scale 10 is measured using the ring body 14.
Release the support on the outer periphery of the ring body 14, and then rotate the side of the hinge 13 on which the ring body 14 is attached to obtain the state shown by the imaginary line in Fig. In other words, with the measuring scale 10 facing downward, the float 9 is on the upper side, and the tip of the measuring scale 10 is inserted into the water infiltration hole 8 and the guide pipe 4 is inserted through the cover body 6.

When using the device next time, the storage operation described above can be performed in the completely reverse order. That is, the lid body 6 is opened, the mooring cable 11 is pulled and the sliding body 5 is taken out, and the measuring scale 10 of the sliding body 5 is measured.
Place the sliding body 5 in the guide pipe 4 with the slider 5 facing upward, then turn the ring body 14 side of the hinge 13 to arrange the ring body 14 around the outer periphery of the measuring rule 10, and close the ring body 14. It supports the measuring scale 10.

As explained above, the present invention has a simple configuration consisting of a guide pipe and a sliding body housed in the guide pipe, and is easy to manufacture and provide at low cost. The water level in the tank can be instantly known just by checking the amount of protrusion of the rod, and as a result, there is no risk of overflow.Furthermore, the sliding body can be inserted into and removed from the guide pipe, preventing water intrusion. The shape and size of the hole is such that a measuring rule can be inserted into it.
Because of the large size, the sliding body can be accommodated within the guide pipe as described above, and as a result, the device itself has the advantage of being extremely easy to maintain and manage.
