In addition, liquid paraffin, petrolatum, olive oil, squalane, lanolin, synthetic ester oil, etc. are used as skin softeners, but these are also included in skin cosmetics to the extent that they sufficiently prevent water evaporation from the epidermis. In some cases, they have disadvantages such as inhibiting the normal metabolism of the skin.

(Disclosure of the Invention) In view of the above-mentioned drawbacks of skin moisturizers and emollients, the present inventors have developed a method that maintains the skin in a healthy state and continuously improves the moisture retention function of the skin. As a result of intensive research aimed at providing skin cosmetics, we found that the skin cosmetics containing Takeyodo's mucin and water-soluble collagen described later exhibited effects that met the purpose, and also had moisturizing properties on the skin. The present invention was completed based on the discovery that it has a beautifying effect on the skin, giving it a moist feel, flexibility (shiny feeling), elasticity, and luster.

(Specific explanation of the structure) The water-soluble collagen used in the present invention is a protein with a molecular weight of 10,000 to 500,000 that is extracted using a known liquid or an operation such as protease treatment and purified through a deodorizing and decolorizing process. It is a substance that is the main ingredient. Other components may include sugars such as mucopolysaccharide and glycogen, and nucleic acids.
