Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve linearity and to reduce the difference of reciprocating displacements by using polyester amide elastomer to the member which supports elastically the diaphragm for an electroacoustic transducer. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of about 0.3mm is obtained by extrusion molding from polyester amide elastomer having a structural formula (p = 5 or 11; n, m: integers) as shown. Then the sheet is formed by vaccume molding into an edge of such a shape as shown in the figure. This edge is combined with a magnetic circuit for production of a speaker. In such a constitution, the speaker having the improved linearity, the reduced difference of reciprocating replacements and high frequency characteristics can be manufactured.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] This invention relates to improvements in support members such as edges and dampers for elastically supporting a diaphragm for an electroacoustic transducer.

[Prior Art] This type of support member, for example, an edge for a speaker diaphragm, is explained by impregnating a cotton cloth or the like with a thermosetting resin, coating it with a viscoelastic material such as rubber, and then forming a predetermined edge. The following were frequently used: coated cloth edge that was heat-formed into a shape, and (2) foamed urethane edge that was heat-formed from a foamed urethane sheet into a predetermined edge shape.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, the above-mentioned conventional edges have various unsatisfactory points. For example, in case (■), the linearity of input-displacement characteristics is not good because the material itself lacks elasticity. Also, due to the increase in weight due to the coating Hfa and the coating layer, the amount of viscoelastic material coated has to be substantially reduced, so the loss is not sufficient, and the damping effect of high frequency resonance is poor, resulting in flat frequency characteristics. It has the problem of being difficult to obtain.

In addition, although the edge (■) has better elasticity than the edge (2), it has the same problem as the edge (2) because the internal loss is not sufficient, and it also has poor light resistance and significant deterioration of physical properties due to light. Ta.

[Effects] The diaphragm can be ideally supported due to the above-mentioned support member's good elasticity, sufficient internal loss, good light resistance and heat resistance, good frequency characteristics, and aging. We were able to provide an electroacoustic transducer with little change.
