Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture coils correctly, in large quantities and rapidly, to enable the manufacture of toroidal coils and so on, and to contrive the shortening of the manufacturing time and the improvement of the yield of the coils by a method wherein such a conductive metal as copper is adhered on core materials by such a means as electrolytic plating and plated parts are formed on this metal by a photo etching method lik as a conductive wire is wound on. CONSTITUTION:Core materials 1 for forming a bobbin are put in an electroplating tank the necessary number of pieces only and a conductive coat 2 consisting of copper and so on is formed on the peripheries of the core materials 1 by electrolytic plating. Then, a photo resist film 3 is coated on the coat 2 and unexposed parts 4 are formed for forming a coil pattern 5. The unnecessary copper is etched by treating these parts by a photo etching method, the photo resist film is removed and a one-layer coil is formed. Then, when the number of turns of coil is numerously necessitated, the width of the pattern 5 is formed narrowly or a coating of insulator is performed on the coil pattern 5 and the coil can be formed in multilayer by performing again a photo etching method.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Industrial Application Field) The present invention utilizes a photoetching method to manufacture a coil, thereby simplifying the manufacturing process and mass-producing it.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) In manufacturing the above-mentioned coil, adjusting the number of nine turns to obtain a predetermined inductance value was quite troublesome. In addition, winding does not require time-consuming work, such as fixing the ends of the wire with adhesive to prevent the wire from coming off.

Variations in inductance values caused a decline in product yield. Furthermore, it is difficult to accurately wind a coil in a pattern or a fractional number such as a 3A main, and as a result, it is difficult to ensure an accurate inductance value.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve these drawbacks, the present invention attaches a conductive metal such as copper to the core material by electrolytic plating or the like, and then photo-etches it by photo-etching. The plated portion is formed in the same manner as when the conductive wire is wound to obtain a coil having a predetermined inductance value. Please refer to the drawings below for clarity. Figure 1 is an external view of the coil showing the manufacturing process of the present invention, Figure 2 is an external view of the coil showing the manufacturing process of the present invention.
The figure is a structural diagram showing its cross section. First, the required number of core materials 1 forming the bobbin are placed in an electroplating tank (not shown).
A conductive film 2 of copper or the like is formed around the core material 1 by electrolytic plating.

Next, a photoresist agent 3 is applied to the film 2 to form an unexposed portion 4 in order to form a coil pattern 5. By processing this using a photo-etching method, unnecessary copper is etched away and the photoresist film is removed to form a single-layer coil. In this case, the unexposed part 4

(Effects of the Invention) As explained above, unlike the conventional coil production using windings aVc, the present invention utilizes a photo-etching method to determine the required number of turns, thereby accurately producing a large quantity and quickly producing toroidal coils, etc. It made it possible. It can also be applied to coil manufacturing, which has been difficult with automatic winding until now, and can reduce manufacturing time and improve yields.
