[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to a drying device for veneers, and has a simple structure that allows the veneers to be carried into and out of the drying room with partial pricking using a pricking conveyor installed in multiple stages above and below. The present invention provides a veneer drying device that can significantly reduce site costs, equipment costs, and thermal energy compared to conventional methods.

In conventional veneer drying equipment, in order to stably and reliably convey the veneer, a pair of upper and lower rollers or a wire mesh conveyor are used to sandwich and convey the veneer. In a configuration in which these rollers or wire mesh conveyors are arranged in a pair of upper and lower rows, it is necessary to set the interval between each stage relatively large, and there is a lot of wasted space in the vertical direction, and it is not possible to have many stages, so the length is long. This required a large amount of land, caused a lot of heat loss, and required a large amount of equipment costs. On the other hand, the invention of the present invention is configured so that at least the front end of the veneer is partially pierced by a pierced conveyor and transported into and out of the drying room, so there is no need to install conveyors vertically. It can be done in far more stages than the conventional method, making effective use of vertical space. The length is also short, which saves space, and the surface area of the furnace is also small, which reduces heat loss. Moreover, since stable and reliable conveyance can be achieved using one or more threaded conveyors, equipment costs can be reduced significantly.

To explain this invention with an embodiment shown in the drawings, the stab conveyors 1, 1a, 1b, . 3b,...3g (the example has two endless strips, but it can also be a relatively wide endless strip with one strip, or an endless strip with multiple strips such as three strips) ) is formed by attaching multi-stage needle-like bodies N to the surface of the drying chamber 4, which is arranged in upper and lower stages (8 stages in the example) so that the veneer A can be carried in and out of the drying chamber 4 where hot air circulates. be. Each of the pricking conveyors 1 to 1g is driven to travel continuously or intermittently by a drive mechanism 5 via clutches, brakes, etc. Carrying-in conveyor 6, 6a, 6b,...
...6g is for feeding the veneer A to each pricking conveyor 1 to 1g, and the carry-in rotary conveyors 7 and 7a are connected to a veneer lace line, etc., and distribute the veneer A to each carry-in conveyor 6 to 6g. This is what you send.

The sticking of each pricking conveyor 1 to 1g to the front end of the veneer A is determined by pressurizing the veneer detectors 8, 8a, 8b, . This is performed by mechanisms 9, 9a, 9b, . . . 9g.
The veneer detectors 8 to 8g use, for example, photoelectric detectors, and the pressure mechanisms 9 to 9g consist of rolls and their operating mechanisms, so that each veneer detector 8 to 8g detects the veneer A.
When the front end of the veneer A is detected, the detection signal is transmitted to the operating mechanism of each pressure mechanism 9 to 9g, and the needle-shaped body N is bitten into the front end of the veneer A by the roll, and the veneer A is removed by the pricking conveyor. Partial puncture of the front end is performed. The veneer A with its front end stuck is carried into the drying chamber 4 by the running of each sticking conveyor 1 to 1g, and is dried by circulating hot air. In this case, since the veneer A is stuck at its front end to a single wide thread or multiple threads of the threading conveyor, stable and reliable conveyance is always carried out when carrying it into and out of the drying room 4, and the As shown in Figure 2, if there is a crack C in the veneer A, there is a risk that the veneer A will be separated from the crack C during drying shrinkage or transportation. and detect it,
By partially sticking the needle-shaped object N into the veneer immediately after the position where the crack C occurs, even if the veneer is divided by the crack C,
Since the veneer portions after crack C are also transported by pricking, reliable loading and unloading can be carried out.

Each of the pricking conveyors 1 to 1g is driven continuously or intermittently by a drive mechanism 5 and a clutch/brake.
If the veneer A is conveyed at intervals by the veneer detector 8 to 8g, the detection signal of veneer A from the veneer detector 8 to 8g is transmitted to the clutch/brake, and the veneer conveyor 1 to 1
When the veneers A are conveyed in a continuous strip or at close intervals, the pricking conveyors 1 to 1g are continuously driven. Then, it is sent to the pricking conveyor. In addition, when drying the veneer A by stopping it in the drying chamber 4, cut the veneer A into a size that corresponds to the length of the drying chamber 4 in advance and transfer it to the pricking conveyor.
A detector is provided in the drying chamber 4, and the veneer A is stopped at a predetermined position in the drying chamber 4 based on the signal from the detector to perform drying.

The breakaway bodies 10, 10a, 10b, ... 10g provided near the discharge end of each stabbing conveyor 1 to 1g are for releasing the veneer A from being stuck by the needle-like bodies N, and the breakaway bodies 10 to 10g are For example, by using a rotary body that is coaxial with the rear rotary wheel 3~3g and has an outer peripheral surface that protrudes from the conveying surface of the puncture conveyor 1~1g, the veneer A is released from the needle N and transported out. conveyor 11,1

In addition, the plurality of support frames 13 provided in parallel to the conveying surface of each of the pricking conveyors 1 to 1g are used to prevent the veneer A from sagging, etc., and thereby the number of rows of the pricking conveyors can be reduced. Further, the fan 14 circulates hot air within the drying chamber 4.

In this way, this invention uses a pricking conveyor to stick the veneer and transport it into and out of the drying room, so there is no need to form a pair of upper and lower clamping conveyance paths, and a multi-stage conveyance path can be created. By doing so, the length of the drying room can be shortened, and the space and heat loss can be greatly reduced.Since the veneer is transported by pricking, it can be carried in and out of the drying room smoothly and reliably. I,
Furthermore, since the veneer is partially stuck, it is possible to prevent the veneer from tearing due to drying shrinkage, and furthermore, since a pricking conveyor is used, equipment costs can be reduced.
