[Detailed Description of the Invention] Technical Field and Purpose of the Invention [0007] The present invention is a method for feeding continuous paper, in which feed holes are provided at a constant pitch on both sides in the width direction, to a printing position using a pin tractor, and then pulling it out from the printing position. The invention relates to a continuous paper feeding device configured to pull out the continuous paper at a speed higher than the feed speed of the pin tractor, the purpose of which is to adjust the distance between the pins of the pin tractor to increase the feed speed of the continuous paper. Set within a range slightly smaller than the feed hole pitch, so that the pin at the feed end position of the pin tractor is biased toward the feed side within the feed hole on the continuous paper, and the pin at the feed end position of the pin tractor By configuring the pins to engage with the peripheral edge of the feeding hole and the feeding side of the feeding hole at the feeding end position and the feeding end position, respectively, it is possible to prevent tearing of the feeding hole portion of the continuous paper and to prevent the continuous paper from reaching the printing position. To provide a novel continuous paper feeding device capable of always feeding paper at an accurate pitch and accurately printing with a print head at a predetermined position on the continuous paper.

Embodiment Hereinafter, an embodiment embodying the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. A platen 2 is supported at a position facing a printing head 1, and is intermittently rotated clockwise in FIG. The continuous paper 3 is wound around the print head 1 from the lower part of the outer periphery of the platen 2, and is intermittently fed upward. A roller 4 is provided on the delivery side of the platen 2 for pulling out the paper 3 in cooperation with the platen 2 in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the platen 2.

A pair of pin tractors 5 are provided behind the platen 2 below both sides of the continuous paper 3,
The pin tractor 5 is constructed by hooking a synthetic resin timing belt 5a around a pair of sprockets 8, and the timing belt 5a has a paper 3
A large number of pins 7 are formed integrally and protrude at a constant pitch on both sides in the width direction to engage with feeding holes 6 (shown in FIG. 2) which are transparently provided at a constant pitch.
The timing belt 5a is intermittently rotated through one or both sprockets 8 in the direction of the arrow in FIG. The paper 3 is fed to the platen 2 side by the meshing of the timing belt 5a and the platen 2.
The rollers 4 are rotated synchronously. Therefore, a tensile force acts on the paper 3 on the pin tractor 5 in the feeding direction.
Also, the distance between each pin 7 of the pin tractor 5
L1 is set within a tolerance range that is slightly smaller than the arrangement pitch L2 of the feed holes 6. In this example, the feed hole pitch L 2 is set to 12.7 mm, while the distance between pins L 1 is 12.7 mm - 0.07 mm.
It is set according to the relationship mm≦L 1 ≦L 2 .

Next, the operation of the feeding device configured as described above will be explained. Now, unlike this invention, FIG. 3 shows a case where the distance between the pins 7' is slightly larger than the arrangement pitch of the feed holes 6. In this case, when the feed hole 6 of the continuous paper 3 is engaged with the pin 7' while the pin tractor 5 and the platen 2 are stopped, the pin engaged with the feed hole 6 as shown in FIG. 7' is deviated outward from the center of the feed hole 6 as it is on both sides. That is, at least the leftmost pin 7' is biased to the left, and the rightmost pin 7' is biased to the right. In addition,
The right and left in this specification are the right and left in FIGS. 2 and 3, and the continuous paper 3 is sent to the left as shown by the arrow.

In this state, when the platen 2 and the belt 5a of the pin tractor 5 are rotated to move the continuous paper 3, the paper 3 is pulled in the feeding direction (to the left). 5, the left feeding end position is A and the right feeding end position is B, then the feeding hole 6, which was in position B in Fig. 3a, has moved to position A, as shown in Fig. 3b. At this time, the pin 7' remains biased to the right of its feed hole 6. Therefore, at position B in FIG. 3b, the distance between the pins is equal to that of the feed hole 6.
pin 7' is larger than the arrangement pitch of
It will be located on the right side of the feed hole 6 compared to the case in Figure a. If the continuous paper 3 is further fed out in this state, the pin 7' will be further biased to the right at position B, as shown in FIG. 3c, and the paper 3 will eventually be torn.

In this way, when the distance between the pins is larger than the arrangement pitch of the feeding holes 6, the deviation due to the difference between the distance between the pins and the arrangement pitch is accumulated due to repeated feeding of the paper, and the portion of the feeding holes 6 is It will tear, making it impossible to feed the paper accurately.

On the other hand, when the distance between the pins 7 is slightly smaller than the arrangement pitch of the feed holes 6 as shown in FIG. 2, the feed holes 6 are engaged with the pins 7 as shown in FIG. When this is done, the pin 7 is biased to the right and left sides of the feed hole 6 at both positions A and B, respectively, and engages with the feed-side periphery and the feed-side periphery of the feed hole 6. As shown in FIGS. 2b and 2c, the tensioning action of the platen 2 as the continuous paper 3 is fed out causes the feed hole 6 at the B position to
When the pin 7 is moved to the position, the pin 7 is inserted into the feed hole 6.
is biased to the right side and engages with the feeding side periphery of the feeding hole 6. Then, the distance between the pins is 6
Since the pitch is smaller than the arrangement pitch of , the pin 7 is biased to the left side of the feed hole 6 at position B and engages with the peripheral edge of the feed hole 6 on the feed side.

In this way, even if the continuous paper 3 is continuously fed out, the relationship between the pin 7 and the feeding hole 6 does not change. Therefore, the continuous paper 3 is accurately fed by a predetermined amount without tearing the feed hole portion, and the print head 1 can print at a predetermined position on the continuous paper 3.

Note that if the distance between the pins 7 and the arrangement pitch of the feed holes 6 are exactly the same, it goes without saying that all the pins 7 will always be in the same positional relationship with the feed holes 6. Since the pins 7 mesh with each other, the amount of deviation will not be accumulated due to the difference between the distance between the pins and the arrangement pitch of the feeding holes, and it is unlikely that the paper 3 will be torn. is the variation in the arrangement pitch of the feed holes 6 for continuous paper,
Also, due to manufacturing errors in the distance between the pins 7 of the pin tractor 5, it is difficult to match the two accurately.

Effects of the Invention As shown in the examples above, the present invention sets the distance between the pins of the pin tractor within a range slightly smaller than the feeding hole pitch of continuous paper, and the pins at the feeding end position of the pin tractor are continuous. The pin is located biased toward the feed side within the feed hole on the paper, and the pin engages with the feed side periphery and the feed side of the feed hole at the feed end position and the feed end position of the pin tractor, respectively. This structure prevents tearing of the feeding holes of continuous paper, and allows paper to be always fed to the printing position at an accurate pitch. It exhibits an excellent effect that enables printing.
