Conventionally, underwater goggles are made by fitting a glass plate into a rubber-molded main body, and then attaching a synthetic resin or metal frame to the glass-fitting main body. Also, a plastic support member is molded around the edge of the glass plate, and a rubber body is molded onto this. Therefore, the cost was high and there was a risk of water leakage.

Therefore, the present invention includes a step of molding a spectacle main body having an annular part using a mold made of synthetic resin, and then a mold having the same mold surface as the previous mold, and furthermore, when the mold is clamped, the rear end of the spectacle main body is molded. The eyeglass main body is placed in a mold having a mold cavity for connecting and molding the face-contacting strip to the curved face-contact surface, and the foamed plastic is injected onto the curved face-contact surface and foamed. This is a method of manufacturing underwater goggles, which comprises a step of molding pieces.

The drawing shows one embodiment of the present invention. Reference numeral 1 shows a glasses main body molded from a transparent synthetic resin. This glasses main body 1 is put into separate molds A and B, and the rear edge of the glasses main body 1 is 2 and a face-contacting strip 3 made of foamed plastic based on rubber are integrally molded. In addition to the above-mentioned rubber, foamable plastics based on polyurethane can also be used. These molds A and B have the same mold surfaces as those used for molding the eyeglass main body 1, and are used to connect and mold the face contact strip 3 to the face-contact curved surface 2 at the rear end of the eyeglass main body when the mold is closed. Use one with a mold cavity C (see Fig. 3). In the figure, 4 indicates a connecting piece, and 5 indicates a band.

According to the present invention, it is easy to assemble and does not require any trouble, and the manufacturing cost is reduced. At the same time, the facial contact strip made of foamed plastic is insert-molded and connected to the main body of the eyeglasses, and no adhesive is used. It has the effect of preventing water leakage.
