The purpose of this temporary crown is to protect the dentin exposed during the preparation of the abutment tooth, protect the pulp from external stimuli, and restore occlusion and aesthetics.

Next, the impression part of the affected tooth of the impression material is filled with instant polymerization resin (hereinafter simply referred to as resin) in a softened state, and this impression is shown on the affected tooth to restore the impression state and harden the resin. , A temporary crown pattern is obtained using this resin. This resin pattern is then cut into a shape similar to the original affected tooth to form a temporary crown. The resin used in this case is generally a mixture of a powder that is a polymer of polymethyl methacrylate and a liquid that is a monomer.

It takes a lot of time and labor. In addition, since the resin is applied directly to the abutment tooth of the model by hand, the resin becomes thicker than necessary and the surface becomes uneven, resulting in a rough shape. Creating a similar shape takes a lot of time and requires a lot of skill, and there is also the problem that the amount of resin used is wasted.

A flexible thin covering material is pressed onto the part of the model corresponding to the affected tooth,
A formwork material is formed by adhering wax to this material, and after removing this formwork material from the model and removing the coating material, the inside of the formwork material is filled with a softened instant polymerization resin, and this formwork material is is placed on the abutment tooth to harden the instant polymerization resin, thereby obtaining the pattern of the affected tooth.

う効果がある。According to the method for creating a temporary crown using the steps described above, the pattern of the resin 10 obtained by the model M4 is only slightly larger than the affected tooth 2, and there is no major difference in its shape, so cutting the resin 10 is necessary. Only a small amount is required. This means that the amount of resin 10 used can be covered by the minimum necessary reduction. In addition, the only tools used for the preparation are wax 8 and a covering material 7 such as tissue paper, which is easy to use, and has the effect of being simple and short in working time.
