Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the luminance of a display plate uniform by forming members other than a reflecting plate with light-transmissive materials in a display device where the reflecting plate is provided in a frame body and a light source and the liquid crystal display plate are provided at the rear and in the front of the frame body respectively. CONSTITUTION:Aluminum reflecting plates 6 are assembled into a frame body 1, and reflecting surfaces are provided on the inside. Reinforcing plates 3 and 4 are provided on side faces in rear end parts of the frame body 1 and are formed with light-transmissive materials. A panel 2 is provided in the front of the frame body 1, and a liquid crystal display plate 10 where liquid crystal display elements 9 are arranged is fixed to the panel 2. The light from a light source 7 is reflected on the reflecting surface of the frame body 1 and is projected to the liquid crystal display plate 10 to display picture elements.
