Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a transparent polyurethane layer with a positive meniscus by a method wherein liquid colored polyurethane material is cast to the inside of an edging projection and then liquid transparent polyurethane material is cast over the whole top surface of a base forming a pattern part and finally cured. CONSTITUTION:A base 3 is formed out of synthetic resin material excellent in heat resistance and impact resistance by extrusion or injection so as to simultaneously and integrally form a patterned part forming an edging projection 1A on the top surface 5 of the base. A patterned part 13 is formed by potting liquid polyurethane material, which is blended with pigment or dye for coloring, to the inside of the edging projection 1A and curing by heating. A transparent polyurethane layer 7 is formed by potting liquid polyurethane material, which is uncolored transparent, over the whole top surface, on which the patterned part 13 is formed, of the base. The transparent polyurethane layer 7 has a positive meniscus.

Detailed Description of the Invention <Industrial Field of Application> The present invention provides a positive meniscus by forming a pattern on the upper surface of a synthetic resin base and then pouring a liquid polyurethane material over the entire upper surface and curing it. The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a mounting member by forming a transparent polyurethane layer having the following. Here, the decorative members include moldings such as automobile side moldings, bumper moldings, rocker moldings, interior decoration strips, and personal accessories such as pendants.

This molding is made of transparent polyurethane having a positive meniscus by pouring and hardening a liquid polyurethane material of an appropriate viscosity onto the upper surface 5 of a band-shaped base body 3 made of synthetic resin with edge projections 1.1 formed on both side edges. It is manufactured by a method of forming 1fj7 (so-called potting) (Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 58-221741). In the example shown in FIG. 1, numeral 9 is double-sided adhesive tape and numeral 11 is release paper.

<Problem to be solved by the invention> However, the pattern portion 1 has sufficient three-dimensional effect even when coated thickly.
3 cannot be formed, and this thickly coated pattern part 1
When a liquid polyurethane material was poured onto the upper surface 5 of the base body 3 and cured by heating, bubbles were likely to occur in the transparent polyurethane layer 7 near the patterned portion 13. This generation of bubbles can be solved by setting the heating temperature to 50°C or less and curing time to several hours, but this is undesirable from the viewpoint of productivity. , In order to solve the L record reference point,
As a result of our earnest efforts in development, we came up with a method for manufacturing a mounting S member with the following configuration.

(2) The pattern part 13 is made of a liquid polyurethane material made of a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component that has been sufficiently degassed under reduced pressure, and is colored by mixing pigments or dyes. The edging protrusion IA is formed by botting the inside of the IA. At this time,
The pattern portion 13 formed between the edging protrusions IA has a positive meniscus. Furthermore, a catalyst such as a compound or an amine that is commonly used for curing polyurethane is added to the polyurethane material. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of long-term quality stabilization of polyurethane, antioxidants and ultraviolet absorbers may be added, and surfactants may be added from the viewpoint of improving leveling properties, shortening defoaming time, etc.

This heat curing of the pattern is usually carried out using a heating element such as a dryer or a heating furnace, at a temperature of 60 to 100°C.
Do this for 0 to 30 minutes. When the temperature exceeds 100℃, the base material becomes PVC.
In such cases, undesirable softening and deformation occur, and a high rate of urethane curing reaction is not induced at temperatures below 60°C.

(3) The transparent polyurethane layer 7 is made of the uncolored liquid polyurethane material used in (2) above, and is bottled over the entire upper surface of the base body on which the patterned portion 13 obtained in (2) above is formed. Form by doing. At this time,
Transparent polyurethane layer 7 formed on the entire top surface of the base body
has a positive meniscus. Further, the heat curing method for this transparent polyurethane layer 7 is carried out in the same manner as in the case of the above-mentioned pattern portion 13. The pattern is formed by pouring a colored liquid polyurethane material into the inside of the edging protrusion for pattern fabric formation and curing it, so the pattern has a positive meniscus and a transparent polyurethane layer covering the pattern. Coupled with the fact that it has a positive meniscus and exhibits a lens effect, it is possible to form a highly designed pattern with a three-dimensional effect. In addition, there is no need to form the pattern with solvent-based paint, and a transparent urethane layer is formed on the urethane layer (pattern) that does not contain solvent or water. There are almost no bubbles in the layer.

Note that the cause of the bubble generation is estimated to be the generation of CO2 due to the reaction between water and incyanate, and the vaporization of the residual solvent.
