ている。従つて、水抜き栓4をゆるめて水抜きを
した時には通水孔部8に残つた水分は表面張力が
働いて水膜を形成するが、水膜の自重は通水孔部
8の切口に対し均一にかかる結果、表面張力のバ
ランスを保ち、外力が働かなければ水膜は破れる
ことはない。すなわち、寒冷時にこの水膜が凍結
すれば、通水孔部8が閉塞されてしまう。従つて
再度水を通水した場合水が通らず再使用ができな
くなるという問題があつた。
