Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the magnetic core producing low noise by a method wherein the magnetic core, consisting of a magnetic alloy thin material, is fixed to a case through the intermediary of vacant space. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic core and a case are fixed at least at one or more places by providing a vacant space using a bonding agent, for example. The vibration of the magnetic core in the mounted case and the noise generated by the vibration are attenuated through the intermediary of the vacant space, the vibration directly transmitted to the case is suppressed, and the generation of vibration of the case and the noise emitted therefrom can be prevented.

(Technical Background of the Invention and the Same Subject) Conventionally, in the case of a magnetic core made of a thin magnetic alloy that has been wound or laminated after being hammered, it is heat-treated and then heat-treated for insulation and protection against external impact. It is stored in a case. In this case, conventionally, a cushioning material such as a silicon compound is filled between the magnetic core and the case to prevent rust and fix the magnetic core.

When using a magnetic alloy thin body as a core for a choke coil, the thin magnetic alloy body is similarly wound, or the laminated magnetic core is optionally heat-treated after being struck, and then the thin body is fixed by resin impregnation hardening treatment. gap-forming cutting.

However, when the choke coil core obtained in this way is used as a component for a switching power supply, the switching frequency during actual operation or the load fluctuation frequency is in the audible frequency range, for example, ioo++z to 20KIIZ, and the noise is loud. In some cases, this may cause a phenomenon in which a large amount of noise is generated. In particular, when an amorphous magnetic alloy with a saturation magnetic flux density of 10 KG or more was used, the sound generation was greater than when other materials such as silicon steel plate or ferrite were used. This noise becomes an unpleasant sound source during use, and may have a negative impact on adjacent parts, such as vibration.

(Summary of the Invention) In order to achieve the above object, the present inventors focused on the relationship between the magnetic core and the case, and as a result of repeated research, the magnetic core vibrates due to magnetostriction that responds sensitively to changes in the applied 1a field. However, it was discovered that vibrations caused by this magnetostriction are transmitted to the case through the filling, producing sound. Based on this knowledge, the inventors provided a space between the magnetic core and the case, and discovered a new phenomenon that when there is no material in the space, it becomes difficult to generate sound, leading to the present invention. It has also been found that the present invention is particularly effective for magnetic cores made of magnetic alloy ribbons that exhibit high saturation magnetic flux density.

By providing a space between the magnetic core and the case, vibrations of the magnetic core in the case during mounting and accompanying sound are attenuated through the space and are less likely to be transmitted directly to the case.

Therefore, the case does not vibrate and generate less noise. The magnetic core and the case are fixed by creating a space using adhesive, for example, and fixing the core in at least one place or more. Since there are few fixing points, vibrations of the magnetic core are less likely to be directly transmitted to the case. In order to have strength against external impact, it is preferable to fix the magnetic core at multiple locations. The adhesive used is one that can withstand the heat generated by the magnetic core during actual operation.

Further, by sealing the case after fixing the magnetic core to the case, it is possible to effectively prevent sound from leaking to the outside through the space.

The magnetic core of the present invention is used for those made of amorphous alloy ribbons, silicon steel plates, Ferrai 1, etc., but the sound is noticeable when the saturation magnetic flux density is high, which is proportional to magnetostriction. Therefore, it is particularly effective for amorphous alloy ribbons that have a saturation magnetic flux density of 10 KG or more and have large magnetostriction.

A magnetic core having an outer diameter of 26 mm, an inner diameter of 16 #, and a height of 10 M was obtained by winding an iron-based amorphous alloy ribbon (width: 10 m, thickness: 25 μm). This magnetic core was heat-treated at about 400° C. for 1 hour, impregnated with epoxy resin by vacuum impregnation method, and then hardened.
