れた暗証番号の桁数を基に演算を行ない、それぞれの桁
数に応じて暗証入力可能な規定回数(即ちリトライが可
能な規定数)を算出する。この規定数Nの算出結果の一
例が第3図に示されている。この例では、暗証桁数が1
〜4のときは規定数Nは4であり、暗証桁数が6までは
規定数Nは6・・・というように、暗証桁数の増加に伴
って順次規定数Nも増すようになっている。そして入力
回数比較部5の動作によって入力回数カウンタ7値iと
