従来、紙やプラスデック等の製造工程で、幅尋のウェブ
を搬送しているときウェブの耳端(以下エツジという)
位置を均一に揃えて高速で搬送してロール状に巻取るの
が普通であるが、しかしこのエツジの位置を一定にする
のは非常に困難であり、エツジ位置をセンサー等により
検出する手段を設け、この検出信号によりウェブの搬送
ローラの傾きなどを制御してエツジの位置規制が行なわ
れて、エツジ揃えがなされている。例えば第2図に示さ
れるように搬送ウェブのエツジ部分に位置検出センサー
10を配置し、この電気信号を制御装置に人、力しその
アウトプットを位置規制の搬送ローラの駆動部11に人

り本発明の目的は達成した。垂直に設けた位置規制ロー
ラは可動台車上に植立して設け、ウェブの幅等によりそ
の固定位置は異なるがウェブ搬送開始のときに台車を固
定する。位置規制ローラは、一本でもよいが補助的に更
に一本設け、ウェブを一時的に垂直に立て、これらのロ
ーラをウェブで抱き込むようにしてウェブを搬送し、ウ
ェブを元の位置に戻して搬送することにより、ウェブの
