Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable stable ink supply without causing secondary contamination attributable to the destruction of fine particles originating from a filter by connecting a flat surface mesh filter to the orifice of an ink discharging duct for conducting ink from a container to the outside. CONSTITUTION:A bag-shaped container 1 is of such a constitution that a 3 to 4-tier structured aluminum laminated high polymer film is bent and overlapped with the circumferential edges bonded together through thermal melting. An orifice in the ink container set at an ink conduction part 2 is fitted with a flat surface mesh filter 3 by thermally melting the circumferential edge. The recommendable filter material may be any kind of member which is corrosion- resistive to an ink such as synthetic high polymer resin, glass, metal or ceramic. A satisfactory result-yielding mesh size is approx. 5-30mum. This filter 3 securely removes bubbles in the ink, deposits or fine particles attaching to the inner surface of the container. In addition, the filter has no such a risk that it might be destructed, thus insuring an always stable ink supply.

Conventionally, the structure for connecting a filter to the ink outlet opening of an ink cartridge for an inkjet printer is as follows:
For example, as disclosed in Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 59-52659, an ink container is known in which a capillary filter made of a porous body forming capillary pores is connected.

[Problems and Objectives to be Solved by the Invention] However, with conventional ink containers, even air (bubbles) and precipitates accompanying the ink inside the container may cause ink ejection failure or printing defects in the inkjet printer head. Even if the factors causing this can be removed, since the filter is a porous material, there is a risk of clogging of ink supply pipes and inkjet nozzles due to secondary contamination such as fine particles caused by destruction of the filter member itself. A stable supply of ink cannot be guaranteed.

Therefore, in order to solve these conventional problems, the present invention removes precipitates, air bubbles, etc. inside the ink container, and
Another object of the present invention is to provide a cartridge-type ink container that does not generate particulates due to filter destruction and can stably supply ink.

In order to solve the above problems, the present ink container includes a bag-like container for storing ink, and an ink outlet part for leading out the ink in the container to the outside, and the ink container of the outlet part It is characterized by a flat mesh filter connected to an opening inside.

By using the cartridge-type ink container configured as described above, there is no secondary contamination caused by broken particles from the filter itself, and air (bubbles) accompanying the ink and particles attached to the inner surface of the container can be removed. Precipitates from the container itself into the ink can be removed and stable ink supply can be achieved.

Here, reference numeral 1 is a bag-shaped container in which three to four-layer aluminum laminated polymer films are folded and stacked one on top of the other, and the three surrounding sides (1z+1ys1z) are bonded by heat fusion. Reference numeral 2 designates an ink outlet portion made of the same material as the aluminum laminated polymer film inner surface member, and is bonded to the inner surface of the ink container by heat fusion. Figure 2 shows the first
FIG. 2 is a plan view showing a detailed view of the circulation number 2; That is, the mH (3α, 5b, 5c, 3d) of the flat mesh filter 3 is connected to the ink outlet member 2 by heat fusion or the like at the opening in the ink container of the ink outlet part 2. The material of this plane mesh filter is synthetic polymer resin, glass,
Any material can be used as long as it is resistant to contact with ink, such as gold X or ceramic. Further, a mesh size of about 5 to 30 microns gives good results. If the mesh size is less than 5 μm, the resistance of the ink flow path when the ink is drawn out from the container is large, and stable supply cannot be achieved. On the other hand, if the thickness is 30μ or more, foreign matter in the ink cannot be effectively removed, leading to clogging in the printer head and resulting in ink ejection failure.

As mentioned above, the effect of the ink container of the present invention is that the flat mesh filter is attached to the ink outlet part by heat fusion, etc., so that air bubbles and precipitates in the ink are prevented from adhering to the inner surface of the container. Since fine particles are reliably removed and there is no risk of the filter itself being destroyed, a stable ink supply is possible at all times.
