Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a disperse dye compsn. for polyester fibers, which is navy blue or black, hardly causes staining during dyeing or processing after dyeing and has improved dyeability, by blending conventional azo dyes or similar dyes in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:10-30wt% dye of formula I (wherein X is chlorine or bromine) is blended with 40-60wt% dye of formula II, 10-30wt% dye of formula III (wherein X is chlorine or bromine; and R is a 1-5C alkyl group) or formula IV (wherein X is chlorine or bromine; and R is a methyl or ethyl group) and optionally, 0-10wt% dye of formula V (wherein X is chlorine or bromine) or formula VI (wherein R is a methyl or ethyl group) to form a black disperse dye compsn. for polyester fibers. The dye of formula V or VI is used for the purpose of matching color tone. 20-50wt% dye of formula I is blended with 5-15wt% dye of formula II, 20-50wt% dye of formula III or IV and optionally, 0-10wt% dye of formula V or VI to form a navy blue disperse dye compsn.

[Prior art and problems to be solved by the invention] It is well known that dispersed water-insoluble dyes are used to dye polyester fibers, but single disperse dyes that dye polyester fibers black are As it is currently unknown,
Generally, blended dyes are used that are appropriately color-matched disperse dyes such as yellow, blue, red, and brown.

As a result, the utilization rate of the dye during dyeing, that is, the rate of dyeing the polyester, is low, and due to cost reasons, the undyed dye often contaminates the dyed product during post-treatment. As a technology aiming at these improvements, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 60-284

しかし、この技術でもその改良は充分でなかった。However, even with this technology, the improvement was not sufficient.

In order to dye polyester fibers using the dye composition obtained in this way, dyeing is carried out under pressure at 105°C or higher, preferably at 110 to 140°C, and in the presence of a carrier such as 0-phenylphenol. Examples include a method of dyeing at a relatively high temperature, for example, the boiling point of water, or a method of padding cloth with a dye dispersion and dry heat treatment at 150 to 230° C. for 30 to 60 seconds (thermosol method).

Table 1 shows the results of printing using Examples of the dye composition of the present invention and commercially available dyes as comparative examples. As is clear from Table 1, all of the blended dyes of the present invention are superior to the commercially available dyes as comparative examples in various fastnesses, and are particularly less susceptible to in-machine sublimation and hot water staining.

The resulting mixture was kneaded with 420 parts of 1200 g of 1200 ml of 100% polyester, printed on a polyester fiber, and subjected to high-temperature steaming at 175° C. for 8 minutes. Thereafter, the dyed material was subjected to a reduction cleaning treatment at 65°C for 10 minutes in a bath consisting of 3 parts of soda ash, 3 parts of hydrosulfide, 1.5 parts of Score Roll 400 (a nonionic surfactant manufactured by Kao Atlas Co., Ltd.) and 3000 parts of water. After washing with water and drying, a black print with high density was obtained. The printed product had very little hot water staining during reduction washing and in-machine sublimation staining during color development, and had excellent fastness to sunlight, sublimation, water, washing, etc.
