Abstract

PURPOSE:To use both the generals public net work and the facsimile communication net work by a facsimile equipment containing the extension by detecting an incoming call by an incoming call identification function part, transmitting a calling signal to the stored facsimile equipment, and connecting the equipment with a line based on the responce from the equipment. CONSTITUTION:A controller 6 switches a switching circuit 42 to the incoming call identification side to check whether or not there is the incoming call at the first identification circuit 44 or the second identification circuit 45. In case of identifying a 16Hz-calling signal from the general public net network the controller 6 switches the circuit 42 to the main body 41 side in order to allow it to arrive at the desired facsimile equipment 1 via an operator or DID service. On the other hand, in case of an arrival from the facsimile communication net work i.e., identifying a 1,300Hz calling signal, the controller 6 switches the circuit 42 to the main body 41 side in order to connect the facsimile equipment 1 corresponding to the trunk with a calling signal generating circuit 5 via a channel equipment 3, so that a calling signal of 1,300Hz is transmitted.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) However, since conventional automatic private branch exchanges were not compatible with facsimile communication networks, even if the facsimile device itself is compatible with facsimile communication networks, automatic private branch exchanges cannot be used with automatic private branch exchanges. If the communication function of the facsimile machine is accommodated, the communication function cannot be used effectively, and conversely, if you try to make use of the communication function of the facsimile machine, you have no choice but to connect it directly to the facsimile communication network, and the purpose of using an automatic private branch exchange is lost. , there was a problem that it became uneconomical.

When the control device 6 identifies an incoming call from the general public network, that is, a 16H2 calling signal, by the second identification circuit 45, the switching circuit 4
2 is switched to the main circuit 41 side (S5), and the call is received at the corresponding facsimile machine 1 through the conventional connection process, that is, via the operator or through the DID service. In this case, the incoming call to the facsimile machine 1 is a 20H call from a signal generator (not shown).
This is done by the ringing signal of z, so that the facsimile machine 1 can also identify that the call is received from a general public network.

Next, when the control device 6 identifies the primary response (closed loop) from the facsimile device 1 (S8), the control device 6 connects the bidirectional station line i to rank 4 and the facsimile device 1 using the communication path device 3 (S9), and further A closed loop on the central office line side is formed in the main body circuit 41 (810), and a response is returned to the facsimile communication network. Thereafter, the communication operation is left to the facsimile device 1.

When making a call, you can do so without worrying about whether it is a general public network or a facsimile communication network. That is, by connecting a two-way office line trunk corresponding to the facsimile machine using a special number, subsequent dial operations can arbitrarily make calls to the general public network or facsimile communication network.

(Effects of the Invention) As explained above, according to the present invention, an incoming call from the facsimile communication network is detected by the incoming call identification function unit compatible with the facsimile communication network, and the paging signal generation unit calls the housed facsimile machine. A signal is sent, and based on the response from the facsimile machine, the line and the facsimile machine are connected, and communication can be carried out thereafter, so both the general public network and the facsimile communication network can be used with a facsimile machine that accommodates extension lines. It is more economical than the case where a separate office line for the facsimile communication network is drawn, and has the advantage of being able to utilize many services.
