Description
本考案は、前後長さの等しい左右クローラを装
備した走行機体の前部に、左右クローラの全体幅
よりも小幅の刈取前処理部を機体横一側方に偏位
させて連結したコンバインのクローラ走行装置に
関する。
上記構成のコンバインは、一般に刈取前処理部
が偏位した側を未刈り地側として刈取走行するの
が基本の刈取形態となつており、刈取前処理部偏
位側への旋回頻度が反対側へのそれよりも高いも
のである。
コンバインのクローラ走行装置は、湿田での機
体沈下を防止するために装備されているのである
が、極めて軟弱な湿田や粘度質の湿田では、クロ
ーラ外周面に突設したラグの間に泥土がつまり、
土壌を剪断していわゆるスリツプ現象を生じ、充
分な推力が得られなくなることがあり、ことに片
方のクローラの駆動を断つて他方のクローラのみ
の推力で操向を行い、しかも前後に長いクローラ
を横にズリ動かすように旋回を行う場合、旋回時
の推進抵抗が直進時より相当大きくなるものであ
るために、上記のように、泥つまりによる推力減
少は旋回性能を著しく低下させてしまうものであ
つた。
又、クローラ走行装置の推力増大を図る手段と
して、クローラの側縁に切欠きを適当ピツチで形
成することも考えられているが、湿地走行に伴
い、この切欠きを通してクローラ内周面に侵入し
た泥土が付着成長して大きな土塊となり、これが
クローラ外に転がり出る現象があり、むやみに未
刈り側に相当するクローラにこのような推力増大
機能を付与すると、転がり出た土塊が未刈り茎稈
を押し倒したり、次工程の刈取走行時の障害物と
なる別の問題が生じるものである。
本考案は、かかる点に着目したものであり、合
理的にクローラ側縁を凹凸形状に構成することに
よつて、上記のようなトラブルを抑制し、良好な
推進及び旋回性能を得られるクローラ走行装置を
提供することを目的とする。
次に本考案の実施例を図面に基づいて説明す
る。
第1図に示すように、クローラ走行装置1及び
操縦部2を備えた走行機体1に脱穀装置3を搭載
すると共に、機体前部に、圃場の植立茎稈を引起
してその株元を刈取り、刈取つた茎稈を機体後部
の前記脱穀装置3のフイードチエーン4に搬送す
る刈取前処理部5を昇降自在に連結し、且つ、こ
の刈取前処理部5を左右のクローラ1a,1bの
全体幅よりも小幅にして操縦部2とは反対側の機
体横一側方に偏位して設け、もつて、刈取前処理
部5の偏位した側、つまり第2図において前進方
向での左側を未刈地側とした回り刈り、又は往復
刈りを基本の刈取形態とするようにしたコンバイ
ンを構成してある。
前記クローラ走行装置1を構成するに、第1図
及び第2図に示すように、左右一対のトラツクフ
レーム6に軸架した駆動輪体7、従動輪体8及び
複数個の案内輪体9に亘つて、接地面側に長さ方
向適当ピツチで推進ラグ10を突設したゴム製の
クローラ1a,1bを巻回すると共に、この左右
クローラ1a,1bの刈取前処理部5を偏位させ
た側の一方のクローラ1aの両側縁A,Bを夫々
直線状の側縁に構成すると共に、他方のクローラ
1bは、外側縁Dのみを切欠面積の和が比較的大
きいように切欠き1cをクローラ長さ方向に適当
ピツチで形成した凹凸状の側縁に構成し、もつて
軟弱地での走行時、地中に入り込む凹凸状の側縁
Dと推進ラグ10との協働でもつて推進力を向上
させると共に、未刈茎稈を機体左一側方に沿わせ
る状態で走行する基本刈取形態における左方への
旋回性能を向上させ、かつ、走行に伴い凹凸状側
縁Dによつて生じる泥土の塊の未刈地側への落下
を回避すべく構成してある。
尚、第3図に示すように、刈取前処理部5を偏
位させた側の一方のクローラ1aの外側縁Aを切
欠面積の和が比較的小さいように、比較的大きな
切欠き1cをクローラ長さ方向に粗ピツチで形成
した凹凸状側縁に、かつ、内側縁Bを直線状に構
成し、他方のクローラ1bの両側縁C,Dを切欠
面積の和が比較的大きな凹凸状側縁に構成して、
未刈地側への泥土の塊によるトラブル発生を抑制
しながらも、推進力、旋回性能を大幅に向上させ
るように構成するもよい。
また、本考案は、推進力を向上させながらも、
それに伴うクローラ巻回内周面への泥土の入り込
み、及び入り込んだ泥土が走行に伴い次第に成長
して左右クローラ外側方に落下し、未刈茎稈の押
倒し、或は次工程の刈取装置への噛み込み等、泥
土に伴うトラブル発生を抑制する手段として次表
に示すような左右クローラ1a,1bの側縁形状
の組合せが採用できる。

凸状の側縁に形成するとともに、夫々のクローラ
の両側縁に形成した切欠面積の総和を、一方のク
ローラ1aより他方のクローラ1bで大きくした
点にあり、この特徴構成によつて次の作用効果を
生じる。
つまり、刈取前処理部5を偏位させた側、つま
り、未刈地側に位置するクローラ1aの外側縁A
を切欠面積の和が比較的小さい凹凸状もしくは直
線状の側縁形状に構成することによつて、冒記し
たような切欠きからの泥土の侵入、及びその成長
を軽減し、土塊によるトラブル発生を抑制しなが
らも、他方のクローラ1bに形成した凹凸状側縁
でもつて良好な推進力及び旋回性能が得られるよ
うになつた。
