(Prior Art) Generally, a facsimile machine is connected to a telephone line, such as a subscriber line, alternatively, and is used preferentially to the telephone set. The line switching method is either a manual switching method in which the operator manually switches the line, or a facsimile device is equipped with an automatic sending or receiving function to automatically switch from the telephone to the facsimile device when a call is made or received. There is an automatic switching method. Among these, the manual switching method has conventionally been used, for example, by installing a communication switch on a facsimile machine, and then the operator makes a call or answers an incoming call using the telephone, and then operates the communication switch to transfer the line from the telephone to the facsimile machine. It is configured to switch to

However, in such a conventional manual line switching system, the operator must operate the communication switch of the facsimile machine after operating the telephone switch when making or receiving a call. Therefore, for example, if a facsimile machine is installed far away from the operator's seat and only a telephone is installed above the operator's seat, the operator can make or receive calls using the telephone. Every time I want to do this, I have to go to the facsimile machine, which is located far away from my desk, and operate the communication switch, which is very cumbersome and cumbersome to operate. Furthermore, since it takes time to switch from a telephone to a facsimile machine, the line is wasted during that time, resulting in a reduction in the efficiency of line usage.

With this configuration, for example, in order to send a facsimile, an operator places a document to be sent on the facsimile machine and then makes a call using the telephone 4, and when the communication partner terminal responds, the subscriber is not registered at this point. The polarity of the normal line 3 is reversed, and this is detected by the polarity reversal detection circuit 13 of the NCU1. On the other hand, at this time, CP of the control circuit 2
As shown in FIG. 3, U21 detects and monitors the calling signal and detects and monitors polarity reversal in step 38I5 and step 3b, respectively, and performs HMA on the polarity reversal in step 3b. When this polarity reversal is recognized, the CPU 21 moves to steps 3f and 3g, where it monitors the arrival of a dial signal from the telephone 114 and monitors the operation of the communication switch, respectively.

Then, in step 3f, the CPIJ 21 recognizes the arrival of a specific dial signal from the detection output, and in step 3h, it outputs a switching I control signal to the switching circuit 11 of the NCLll, and connects the line 3 from the telephone shooting side to the facsimile device. Switch the connection to the side. Thereafter, the process proceeds to a predetermined facsimile procedure.

In this state, when the operator picks up the handset of telephone t14 to answer the above call, the hook switch is turned on and the polarity of subscriber 13 is reversed, which causes N
It is detected by the polarity reversal detection circuit 13 of CU1, and a detection signal is output to the CPU 21. Then, the CPU 21
This polarity reversal is transferred to step 3et'Um (48th time t2) LT2 step 3fa and step 3g,
Here, the arrival of a dial signal from the telephone 114 and the operation of the communication switch of the facsimile machine are monitored. For example, if the operator is absent and the telephone 114 is not hooked off and the polarity of the subscriber line is not reversed even after a predetermined period of time has elapsed, the timer 5 times out when the predetermined period of time has elapsed, and the CPU 21 executes the step 3d recognizes this timeout and shifts to call termination control. Therefore, the problem of unnecessary calling for a long time when the operator is absent does not occur.

Now, when the operator speaks with the calling party using the telephone v14 and receives a facsimile reception request, for example, when the operator dials a specific number on the telephone 4, the dial signal (BS in FIG. 4) is It is detected by the dial signal detection circuit 14 of the NCU1, and the detection output is supplied to the CPU 21 of the control circuit 2. Then CPU2
1 determines that the subscriber 113 has given a switching instruction by recognizing the arrival of the specific dial signal (at time t3) in step 3f, and outputs a switching control signal to the switching circuit 11 in step 3h. Then, as shown in FIG.
Switch the connection to the I side, and then proceed to the facsimile procedure. Furthermore, even if the operator operates the communication switch,
Switching of subscriber line 3 takes place in a similar manner.

As described above, in this embodiment, since the facsimile machine is equipped with a means for detecting a specific dial signal from the telephone 14 and switching the line, the operator does not have to switch the communication switch of the facsimile machine when making or receiving a call. There is no need to operate the system, and instructions can be given by operating a single dial on the telephone. As a result, even if the installation location of the facsimile machine is far from the installation location of the telephone, for example, the operator does not have to go to the facsimile machine after making a call or answering an incoming call on the telephone. This makes the operation easier and reduces the burden on the operator.

Note that the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments. For example, in the above embodiment, a case has been described in which manual line switching is performed, but in an automatic switching system, automatic switching is performed after a certain period of time (for example, 10 seconds) has elapsed without immediately switching after a ringing signal is detected. , it may be applied to a so-called semi-automatic switching method. In addition to dial pulse sending type telephones, the same implementation can be applied to PB signal sending type telephones. That is, in this case, the dial signal detection circuit 14 of NCU1 may be replaced with a circuit that detects a specific P8 signal. In addition, the CPU control mf: order, control contents, configuration of means for detecting a specific selection signal, etc. can be modified in various ways without departing from the gist of the present invention.
