Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform certain and accurate sheet supply, by providing a rear surface limiting member arranged in order to limit the rear end of a bundle of recording sheets transferred on a receiving plate in a manner to be freely rotated around a member integrated with the receiving plate. CONSTITUTION:A radii-like groove 32B whose center is a rotating shaft 34 is provided in the vicinity of a rear surface limiting member 32 and is made slidable to the fixing shaft 35 with an attaching plate 33. In the rising process of a receiving plate 31, the rear end limiting member for limiting a bundle of sheets in contact with the rear end thereof rises at the same time. And, when the rising is stopped, a pressing force is applied to the top 32C by the rising force of the receiving plate 32. When the receiving plate 32 rises furthermore, the top 32C is slided on the inner wall of a cover body 26 so that the limiting member is rotated clockwisely around the rotating shaft 34. Therefore it is possible to eliminate troubles of sheets supply and smoothing supply the sheets to a coping machine body with accuracy.

In each of the above-mentioned image recording devices, various types of cut paper such as plain paper, printing paper, photosensitive paper, pressure-sensitive paper, thermal paper, electrostatic recording paper, transfer paper, synthetic resin recording sheet, etc. are fed and transported by the main body of the recording device. When supplying paper to a section, a so-called cassette paper feeding method is adopted in which the paper is stored in a paper feeding cassette and then loaded into a cassette receiving section of the main body of the apparatus.

The paper is fed from either the upper or lower paper feed section to the paper feed roller 3A.
Alternatively, the paper is sent out by the synchronous roller 4 which has stopped rotating, is pressed and rotated in synchronization with the rotation of the photosensitive drum 5, and then the toner image is transferred to the paper using a transfer electric mark and then fixed. It is sent to device 7. Here, the toner on the paper is heated and fused and fixed onto the paper. Thereafter, this paper is transferred to a tray 9 or a sorter IO by a conveyor belt 8.
Alternatively, the paper is selectively switched to a double-sided copying device (not shown) and ejected from the copying machine main body.

.. 25 swings upward together with the lid 26, and most of the sides of the paper bundle are left open. In this state, since no external force is applied to the rear surface regulating member 32, it is biased by the torque spring 36 and assumes a substantially upright position. In this state, a stack of sheets to be replenished is placed on the pedestal 31.

The guide surfaces 24C and 25C, which swing around the entire rotation axis of the upper part and have an inclined angle, regulate both side edges of the paper stack and align the sheets, and then the paper side edge regulating surfaces 24B and 25C move on both sides of the paper stack. Accurately position the stack of paper against the edge.

It is detected and controlled by a detection means (not shown), and the rising is stopped when a predetermined position is reached. At this time, the uppermost layer of the paper bundle is pressed against the paper feed roller 61 and the separation belt 62.

The sheets in the outer box 21 that have been raised to an appropriate height by the elevating means 50 are sent out sheet by sheet by a sheet feed roller 61 and a separation belt 62, which rotate based on a copy start signal, and are sent out one by one by a guide plate 64 and a conveyance roller 65. .. The image is sent to the photoreceptor drum 5 via the synchronous roller 4, where a copying process is performed.

As the paper is consumed, the paper feed roller 61 in contact with the paper descends, and when it is detected that it has reached a predetermined height, the motor M1 is rotated again based on this detection signal. As a result, the lifting platform 51 and the receiving plate 31 rise. When a predetermined height is reached, the motor M1 stops rotating. This operation continues to be repeated while the paper is being fed.

During the rising process of the receiving plate 31, the rear surface regulating member 32, which contacts and regulates the rear end surface of the paper stack, also rises at the same time, but its top portion 32C abuts against the inner wall surface of the lid body 26 and its rising is stopped. , the top part 32 is lifted by the upward force of the receiving plate 32.
A pressing force is applied to C. When the receiving plate 3] rises further,
The top portion 32C of the rear surface regulating member 32 slides on the inner wall surface of the lid body 26, and its contact point moves to the right, and the rear surface regulating member 32 as a whole rotates clockwise around the rotational shaft 34.

Eventually, when the paper is completely consumed, the paper storage section 20 and the receiving plate unit (9) assume the shape shown in FIG. 7, and the rear surface regulating member 32 is tilted most to the right. In this state, the detection means is activated and the display panel of the main body of the copying machine displays that there is no paper, and the motor M1 begins to rotate in the opposite direction and stops when the elevator platform 57 descends from the lowest position. In this state, paper can be replenished or replaced again.

The inside of the paper storage section is prepared with different paper sizes for each size of paper to be stored. For example, various paper feed trays from A3 size to 85 size paper are prepared for exclusive use, and when a large amount of copying is to be performed on paper of a required size, these dedicated paper feed trays are installed and used on the above-mentioned placement table.

Alternatively, when using one paper feed tray for various sizes of paper, the side plates 22, 23, 24, and 25 can be moved and set, and the receiving plate unit 30 can be prepared in various ways for each paper size. When storing necessary sheets, a dedicated receiving plate unit' may be replaced and loaded into the outer box. In this case, the receiving plates of the various receiving plate units have substantially the same shape as each paper size, and a rear surface regulating member having substantially the same shape as described above is rotatably attached to this receiving plate.

Furthermore, the side plates n and 23 may also be of a movable structure similar to that of the rear surface regulating member instead of being fixed. a rear surface regulating member that allows the receiving plate to be moved up and down by an elevating means and that regulates the rear end of the stack of sheets on the receiving plate. Since it is configured to be able to swing with respect to the receiving plate, the rear end of the sheet bundle is always in contact with the rear face regulating member during the raising or lowering process of the receiving plate by the elevating means. Therefore, the paper bundle does not collapse. In particular, there is an effect that there is no accident in which the upper layer of the paper bundle is shifted by the paper feeding means or the like, or the trailing edge of the paper goes over the entire edge of the rear surface regulating member, resulting in poor paper feeding. Therefore, there is an effect that the paper is fed smoothly and accurately to the main body of the copying machine.
