自在に装着される画像形成装置において、前記カ
セツトの底部に光を用紙まで透過する光透過部と
光を吸収する光吸収部とが設けられ、前記本体に
は、前記カセツトの装着位置下方であつて前記カ
セツトが装着されたときの前記光透過部と対向す
る位置に光反射式フオトセンサーが配設されたこ
とを特徴とする用紙及びカセツトの検知機構。 (2) 前記光透過部は、前記カセツトの底壁に形
成された開口及び前記開口にはめこまれた透明体
から成ることを特徴とする実用新案登録請求の範
