調段階に対応するデジタル信号を出力する出力手
段と、 画像メモリから読み出された画像信号と前記出
力手段の出力とを加算し、オーバーフローを無視
して前記画像信号のビツト数と同数のビツト数の
出力を与える加算器と、 該加算器の出力を対応するアナログ信号に変換
するＤ／Ａ変換器と、 該Ｄ／Ａ変換器の出力に基づいて画像を表示す
るモニタとを備えることを特徴とする超音波診断
装置。 (2) 前記出力手段は、文字・図形情報の有無に
対応する選択信号を出力するゲート回路と、 階調段階０に対応するデジタル信号および前記
所定の階調段階に対応するデジタル信号がそれぞ
れ与えられ、前記選択信号に基づいて、前記デジ
タル信号のいずれかを択一的に選択出力する選択
回路とを備えるものである前記実用新案登録請求
