Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a sheathing plate fixing device for an air conditioner capable of decreasing the number of steps of assembly by a method wherein a sheathing plate lined with a thermal insulation material is connected to the air conditioner by a belt plate having bolts fixed thereto. CONSTITUTION:A sheathing plate 1 for this air conditioner is made by bending an outer edge part 1b of a thin plate in a U-shape and has a plurality of connection holes 7 near an outer edge part. A belt plate 2 having several bolts 6 fixed thereto is placed against the inside part of an outer edge part 1b of the sheathing plate 1, bolts 6 are inserted into the connection holes 7, nuts 4 are fastened to make their mutual connection of the ornamental plates 1. A thermal insulation material 3 is adhered to a surface of the sheathing plate 1 facing to its bending direction, and a thermal insulation packing 5 is fitted in a clearance between the outer edge 1b and the thermal insulation material 3 after the sheathing plates 1 are connected. In case of connecting the plates, the belt plate 2 is applied to decrease the number of steps and to improve a productivity of the unit.

ナツト4を締付けることによシ外装板1相互を結合して
いる。前記外装板1の折り曲げ方向の面には前記折り曲
げ厚みより薄い断熱板3を貼りつけてあり、外縁端部1
bと断熱材3のすき間には外装板1の接続後に断熱用パ
ツキン6をはめ込んでいる。なお帯板2は第3図、第4
図に示すように薄板に複数の穴を加工し、この穴にボル
ト6を差し込み回転しないように固着している。また断
熱材3の厚みtは外装板1の外縁端部1bのナツト4締
め付は部の空間を確保するため外装板1の折り曲げ厚さ
Tより薄いものとしている。本実施例では折り曲げ厚さ
’r4011111に対して断熱材3の厚みtは15M
としている。また外装板1の外縁端部1bの接続用穴7
は断熱材3を避けるため中央より外縁端側に寄せて設け
