Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain simultaneous recording/reproduction on different recording sides of an optical disk medium by one optical head by providing a Fresnel strip forming plural converging points to an irradiated light beam of an objective lens between a laser beam generator and the objective lens on a laser beam light axis. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam (c) irradiated from a laser beam generator 1 passes through the Fresnel strip 2 and is divided into the 1st light beam (a) being a transmited collimated light having the same light axis and the 2nd light beam (b) being the converged light by diffraction on the same light axis, they are transmitted through a half mirror 3 and made incident to the objective lens 4.
