[実施例]
板材から絞り加工で中空部材1を作る。この中空部材1
にはフランジ2、中空穴3が形成され、その軸部4には
ネジ形成用部分5と、ネジ非形成部分6がそれぞれ対向
位置に形成されている。このネジ非形成部分6を設けて
いるのは、もし軸部4の外周の全部にネジを形成すると
、一対の成形ダイで鍛造したとき、つなぎ部分にパリが
発生する場合があるので、このパリが発生するところに
ネジが形成されないようにしたものである。このネジ非
形成部分6の中央部6aの肉厚がもっとも薄い部分は将
来ネジが形成された場合の谷径よりも内側にくるように
しておく。すなわちネジ非形成部分6の中心から軸心ま
での長さmを、ネジの谷径rより小さくしておく。これ
はネジ非形成部分は鍛造による影響でわずかに変形して
脹み、相手方のナツトなどのネジ穴のネジ山と当ること
を防ぐためである。この中空部材1の中空穴3に芯金7
を挿入してセットシ、ネジ成形ダイ8.9で両側より鍛
造加工して軸部4のネジ形成用部分5にネジ山を盛り上
