Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size and cost of a printer, by positioning a printing head by the contact of a carrier with a platen. CONSTITUTION:A lower part of a carrier 2 is extended to the lower side of a platen 4. Rollers 2a are fitted to a face of the extended part 2-1 opposed to the platen 4 so that a printing head 3 can be positioned by bringing the rollers 2a into contact with the platen 4. For this purpose, a printing head 3 is fixed to a rear upper part of the carrier 2 so as to apply a clockwise turning force to the carrier 2. The carrier 2 is slided on a guide shaft 1, with the rollers 2a in contact with the platen 4. The rollers 2a roll in contact with the platen 4, so that they do not hinder the carrier 2 from sliding. Accordingly, the carrier 2 can be mounted on the single guide shaft 1, and reductions in the size and cost of a printer can be contrived.

紙5上に印字を行うものである。

ド3はキャリア2に右回り方向の回転力を付与すべくキ
ャリア2の上部後方に固定しであるのである。また、上
記ローラ2aは第2図に示す如くキャリア2の延長部分
2−1にローラ2aが一部突出する穴を有するカバー2
bをネジ2Cで固定することにより、取付けられている
