However, in the former case, the packaging process is very time-consuming and the cost of packaging materials is high.
Furthermore, in terms of storage efficiency, wasted space was likely to occur. In addition, in the latter case, it is troublesome to manufacture a sheet molded product having complex-shaped recesses, the product does not have sufficient cushioning and protection against external impacts, and when storing multiple products, the space between each recess is troublesome. Since it is necessary to provide a certain interval between the two, there was a problem in terms of storage efficiency.

Next, in both main body pieces 10 and 30, 11,
Reference numeral 31 designates a plurality of protrusions that bulge toward the upper surface side, and the protrusions 11 of the main body piece 10 and the protrusions 31 of the main body piece 30 are provided approximately symmetrically to each other, so that both the main body pieces 10 and 30 When assembled to face each other vertically, the heights of both protrusions 11 and 31 are adjusted so that they face each other at the same position and the tips of the protrusions 11 and 31 just abut each other. It is set. In the illustrated embodiment, both protrusions 11 and 31 are formed to have exactly the same height to facilitate manufacturing and handling.
As long as the tips of Nos. 1 and 31 can come into contact with each other, they do not necessarily have to be at the same height.

The shape of each of the plurality of protrusions 11, 31 differs depending on the shape of the article to be stored. For example, in the illustrated embodiment, when a small cassette player C with a headphone H is packaged as the article to be stored. A rectangular cassette player C is housed in the center of each of the four protrusions 11 and 31 provided on the four sides, and the shape of the inner surface of the protrusions 11 and 31 is shaped along the four sides of the cassette player C. In addition, the outer surface shape of each of the protrusions 31 of the intermediate main body piece 30 is formed to follow the inner surface shape of the C-shaped annular headphone H. Therefore, the four protrusions 31 The inner space and the outer space are used as storage areas for different items.

Note that the protrusions 11 on the end main piece 10 side are formed in a simple rectangular shape since the outer surface shape does not need to follow the inner surface shape of the headphone H, but some protrusions 11 may be formed on the back surface. The recessed portion 16 is used as a storage portion for batteries B, etc. (see FIG. 4).

Further, among the protruding parts 11 and 31, 11' and 31' are stepped parts formed at the center of the earmuff of the headphone H, and store and protect the cord for the headphone H. Further, 12 and 32 are the protruding parts 1
It is a convex part lower than mag. 1, 31, and headphone H
They are appropriately arranged along the inner and outer shapes of the article, and protect the article together with the protrusions 11 and 31. 1
Reference numerals 3 and 33 denote rib convex strips shaped along the central portion that houses the cassette player C, which abut against the upper and lower surfaces of the cassette player C, which is relatively heavy and requires cushioning protection against shocks, etc., to provide good protection. I'm starting to be able to do it.

Next, in the side pieces 20, 20', 21, 21' are a large number of rib convex strips formed substantially over the entire surface along the height direction when assembled, and serve to reinforce the side pieces 20, 20'. Reference numerals 22 and 22' are rectangular protrusions higher than the rib protrusions 21 and 21', which abut and protect the central portion of the outer surface of the headphone H. Note that the side pieces 20, 20' are not only formed at locations adjacent to the main body pieces 10 and 30 along the longitudinal direction;
If similar side pieces are connected to the side end pieces of the main body piece 10 or 30 (end sides in the vertical direction in FIG. 1) so that they can be bent, all six sides of the items to be stored can be covered with cushioning packaging material during assembly. 1 (not shown).

The above-described cushioning packaging material 1 is assembled into a frame shape, and after storing articles such as a cassette player C and a headphone H in a sandwiched state between the opposing main body pieces 10 and 30, the packaging material 1 is formed of, for example, cardboard. It is used by being inserted into an exterior case 5 which has a flat rectangular tube shape. This outer case 5 covers the opening on the side surface of the buffer packaging material 1, and also allows the cover piece 40 folded over the outer surface of the end main piece 10 to be inserted into the outer case 5. , 15, there is no need to use any special fixing means such as adhering the cover piece 40, and there is no need to worry about the shock absorbing packaging material 1 disintegrating, making it convenient to use. In addition, since the opening surface of the exterior case 5 is covered by the side members 20, 20', the appearance is good and suitable (Figs. 4 to 4).

Next, as the synthetic resin sheet forming the buffer packaging material 1, foamed or non-foamed sheets of various synthetic resins conventionally used as packaging materials can be used, but particularly preferred ones include, for example, those containing butadiene. There is a highly polymerized foamed polystyrene sheet that has a high degree of polymerization, and a relatively hard foamed sheet a such as a foamed polystyrene sheet and a relatively soft foamed sheet c made of a polyolefin foamed sheet such as a foamed polyethylene sheet or a foamed polypropylene sheet. A multilayer sheet laminated through binder b is suitable as it has both rigidity and flexibility (see Fig. 8), and is also suitable for high impact polystyrene, polypropylene,
Non-foamed sheet made of resin such as polyvinyl chloride d
A multilayer sheet in which the above-mentioned relatively soft foamed sheet c is laminated is also preferred (see FIG. 9).

<Effects> According to the cushioning packaging material 1 of this invention configured as described above, the main pieces 10 and 30 facing each other
A plurality of protrusions 11 and 3 formed along the shape of the article on the main body pieces 10 and 30 store the article therebetween.
In addition to being able to hold an article with good cushioning properties in the space between the side parts of 1, the following effects can also be achieved.

(a) Even if the individual protrusions 11, 31, etc. have a relatively simple shape, by appropriately arranging a plurality of protrusions 11, 31, etc., it is possible to partially abut appropriate parts of the article. Because it protects items, it can be easily applied to items of multiple shapes, and is much easier to manufacture and cheaper than conventional methods that form storage recesses that follow the entire shape of the item. .

(b) In conventional storage recesses, if multiple items are to be stored, the recesses cannot be formed unless an appropriate space is provided between each storage recess.
In addition, there is a drawback that the cushioning performance against the top surface of the article is also deteriorated, but according to the protruding portion of this invention, it is sufficient to form the protruding portions 11, 31, etc. only in locations where there is space between each article. Since it can be protected with good cushioning properties, a plurality of articles can be stored compactly in a minimum space, resulting in excellent storage efficiency.

(c) Since a large number of rib protrusions 13, 33 are formed on the surfaces of the main body pieces 10, 30 that come into contact with the stored articles, the articles can be elastically clamped and held by the protrusions, thereby reducing the impact on the articles. The ridges can also be gradually softened by the ridges.

In addition, the protrusions 11 and 3 prevent the center portions of the individual main body pieces 10 and 30 from sagging or being bent or deformed.
The shock-absorbing packaging material 1 can be prevented from coming into contact with one another, and the cushioning packaging material 1 will not be deformed even by external forces during transportation, loads during loading, etc., and can maintain a good article storage space.

(g) The shock-absorbing packaging material 1 itself is made up of a single sheet-like body consisting of main body pieces 10, 30, side pieces 20, 20', and cover piece 40, which are assembled by folding. Therefore, it can be easily manufactured using a normal sheet molding method, and is also easy to transport and store. In particular, the opposing protrusions 11 and 3
The addition of the height of the first grade is the total height of the storage space for the item, so even if the height of the individual protrusions 11, 31, etc. is lower than the height of the item itself, sufficient storage space can be obtained and manufacturing This is particularly advantageous in terms of moldability.
